I don't know where you get your ratings, but I never saw him rated a 5 star anywhere. He was a 4 star and there's nothing wrong with that in the world. 5 stars are more rare than you think.

Yeah they referenced Prepstar--which I've never even heard of--but they still only had him as a 4-star. I'm surprised they didn't call him 'elite', which I've heard is a required adjective of every Clemson prospect.

Agree, as long as he is as good as our coaches says he is, it wouldn't matter if he was a walk on!!!

TIL PrepStar is a thing that exists.

I'm all for hyping new freshman in spring practice and rosterbating but Randall is not a five star by any legitimate ranking service. Does this matter? No. But there's no need to write about him like he is.

At this point who cares about stars?

Mar 18, 2022, 9:51 AM

Did you listen to Dabo’s interview?? They are just reporting what he said. Dabo said Randall would fit in any NFL locker room right now and put him in a group with Sammy, Ross and Beaux Collins as the 4 WRs that arrived on campus the most ready to play immediately during his time at Clemson. I’m excited to think that 2 of those players will be on the field this fall.

Well, all I know is our last natty featured a stud WR core that included a sophomore and a freshman WR. Tee and Justyn. Beaux and Randall? Just saying. I like our chances.

They had Trevor throwing them the ball!

We need a QB to give our receivers catchable balls, and they will be fine.....

I think Tee Higgins and Mike Williams have to be in that group of elite freshmen. They had top guys on campus when they came, so their stats might not be elite, but they were obviously ready to go.

No offense, but I’ll stick with Dabo’s opinion at this point.

Man among boys performance - single-handedly beat us.

Sounds good. Should be a capable blocker.

Anyone think this dude may eventually grow into becoming a TE? I suspect it'll be hard for him to stay in the 222 lb range over the next few years and if he gains much weight at all, he may become too big to play WR. Time will tell, but for now let's hope he can add a shot in the arm at the WR position that we missed last year.

What was the kid's name during the Bowden era that was a freak of nature and looked like the Hulk? Roderick Taylor?? Dude was a physical specimen but it didn't translate onto the field. I think this kid is a different kinda cat.

An athlete can stay within a few few pounds of the weight they want to be. Weight training with lots of reps help a person to stay strong without gaining more bulky muscle, plus running helps with keeping their weight down....
