overcome a bad outing on the mound. Hopefully that will change by the post season.

Not so sure. At this point in the season you kind of are what you are. Just look at the battling averages on this team. They are only two players in the batting lineup hitting over .300. And, it’s getting ready to be only one because Purify is dropping like a rock. I think he is currently 1 for his last 26 at bats. You just have to face this is a very mediocre offensive team & don’t think that’s going to change.

Earlier in the year everybody was complaining about pitching. Now it's complaining about hitting. Guys should have a little perspective that it's baseball and we are not going to go out and win every game 10-0.

Yea, but that doesn’t mean you can’t voice concerns. There is a difference between expressing some very real concerns & completely trashing a team. Some people think you say one thing negative & you that automatically negate anything positive.

Saying we don't have the offense to overcome a bad pitching night is just looking for things to bash the team about. We have scored 10+ in plenty of games. Our offense isn't the greatest that's true. Just don't get the bashing when we are one of the best teams in the country. I know that's what we do on tigernet though. I just think some people expect us to win every game and that's just not going to happen in baseball. We need our pitching to be what carries us in the CWS.

That's not true and I appreciate pacontaco for having actual baseball discussion rather than a one sentence rant. The offense is not great, and most nights not enough to overcome a bad pitching night especially Friday nights, but it's who we are now in the season. Can they get on a streak? Sure, but the need a lot of people to get going. We have 3 more series after this and one is with the the #4 team in the country with really good LHP's.

To your point, we have scored 10+ runs 6 times against conference opponents, 1 of those was a loss to Wake, 3 vs Stanford, 1 vs Cal and ND. Not exactly the best teams in the conference. I don't expect to winevery game as I know that's not possible and it's incredibly hard to win ON THE ROAD, but that was not a competetive game with some really bad AB's.

You want our pitching to carry us the the CWSS, but who outised of Knaak has been dependable. In the regionals and supers we will face some dudes thrwoing gas, thankfully they should be at home and we play better at home.

Go Tigers. Let's take these next two and move on.
