ASU argument that they should get a bye?

Have not paid any attention to them. Surprised some think they should get a bye but don't know a thing about them. I don't think Clemson deserves a bye but what's the good argument ASU should get a bye?

Top 4 ranked conference winners get a bye…they will be in the top 4 of conference winners. They only have two losses and they have more ranked wins than us.

Plus if you really want to go eye test from yesterday, they blew out their opponent and we just squeaked by.

Their 2 loses to TT and Cin, both unranked teams. Clemson loss to #1 UGA and #15 SC. One a current playoff team the other a bubble playoff team. So if you want to mention they "only" lost two consider that.

ASU has one less loss than us and we had no ranked wins until yesterday…what is the argument that Clemson should be seeded over them…our three losses are better than their two losses? Our one (very narrow) ranked win is better than their 3 ranked wins (including a splattering of their CCG opponent)?

Our better argument is that Boise State maybe doesn’t deserve a bye over us being the G5 champ, but their one loss was by three points to #1 Oregon on the road so their resume isn’t objectively bad or anything.

I think it's silly that either ASU or Clemson would earn a bye. Just flat out rule that 4 highest ranked power teams get a bye seems to be my beef. I would also say that if you are hovering around number 11, 12 or 13 then don't cry if you don't make the playoffs. Take care of business and consider yourselves lucky to be considered. Clemson at #17 then jumping to #12 on a last second FG should make us all feel fortunate.

Clemson beat a higher ranked top 12 team. ASU beat a lower ranked team outside the top 12. Personally, I don't think either team deserves a bye but if you give one to ASU then it doesn't seem justified.

ASU has been taking care of business the last half of the season. Must have figured something out. We lost 3 games so we cannot make an argument over anyone else in the top 12 honestly.
