and it's quick application has diminished the slow churn of good, ole fashioned work and given rise to the quick heralds of doom and gloom.

Clemson lost 4 games last season. 2 in overtime. 1 in double overtime on the road and one to a undefeated top 5 team at home. The other two loses were games with multiple turnovers in both. Both on the road. All in a season where the starting QB was experiencing his first real starts. And this team surprised by beating "sure" losses to Notre Dame and UNC. And then there was a gut pounding last minutes will yourself to win against Kentucky that are the stuff of legend and the stuff that creates good teams like that win against LSU in 2012 did for future Tiger teams.

I see no reason why this team coming up can not be better. They might not win them all but I say they will better last years win total. Their hard work is behind the scenes and is not as exciting as talking about Dabo and the portal and NIL and all that. But I feel this team/program is looking for redemption. Sorry but if you are not excited about what this team can do this year then I don't know about your passion for the Tigers. Flame away with the quickly typed negative barbs. I know some of you just can't help yourself. Just my 2 cents. Go Tigers!!!!!

Fantastic post.

The November run last years team went on may not be the sexiest of Dabo’s tenure but it’s been one of my favorite ones in recent memory.

game. The Kentucky DL was causing a lot of trouble. Makes me worry about that first game. Likewise I hope the secondary has improved. I know Leary is a good QB, but all those blown coverages was crazy. Hoping for a great season. Seems like a couple of small improvements can make that happen!

when I graduated: considering the ho-hum, so-so seasons during my time there, any season of seven or more wins is a cause for celebration. Any bowl game appearance adds to that success.

AND I never dreamed it remotely possible to enjoy the type of seasons/success we've had under Dabo Swinney's leadership!

Therefore, I am a contented man, ready for more football under this same coach's guidance.
