Clemson will almost certainly pair with Florida State as team 11 and 12 for the Big 12. Clemson has had talks with the Big 12 over a similar amount of time and when compared to FSU, Clemson and its leadership have done a much better job in navigating the challenges that are associated with a move as monumental as leaving a conference of which you are a charter member.
Georgia Tech is also talking with the Big 12. I stress that Georgia Tech is only having conversations. They are by no means in the same place that Clemson and FSU are regarding exiting the ACC. But the fact that Georgia Tech is even engaging in conversations is significant as they were unwilling to entertain any idea as recently as three weeks ago.

He has been as accurate as can be in summarizing all of the conjecture being bandied about. I appreciate those summaries. He has not, however, been breaking anything new. He has said as much.
And yes, I have long ago given up hope that the ACC leadership would be proactive and prepare for the inevitable future of college football. If the ACC cannot pull off some wild blockbuster deal to reel in ND and Penn State or similar, then I'm all for going to the Big 12.

Hey Stanley, I have personally known York for literally most of my life and he is not one to try and bring attention to himself by pumping himself up. If he is posting something then he has a pretty good source. He is not one to put the cart before the horse. The way I read this it is a complement to Clemson on how they have handled this process. For the people criticizing or admin. you need to wait until it all comes out before judging. Some things can not be talked about while negotiating.The fact we are negotiating should be good enough for now.

matter though. They haven't won a conference championship since 1960-something. And I doubt they'll ever fall into another SEC LEast title, where everyone else is down again, but even if they do they'd never be able to beat Alabama or LSU anyway.
I just don't see USuC as ever being a major player in college football. Know what I mean, Vern?
