Artavis Scott is 220th in nation in punt return average.

Since this staff "loves" criticism, how bout make our return game a weapon. It is criminal with our athleticism that our return game is abysmal.
Our speed should be feared. Teams should be pooching kickoffs because they fear us. Instead, we are the ones who have had to pooch kickoffs because our coverage has been so bad.
Imagine our potential if we had a return game that was a threat. We are gonna need it to be during these next few games.
(Here's to hoping we are proved wrong in the next upcoming games.)

As long as powell is coaching them. He clearly has no clue and its been evident for years. Sad.

that was the only thing he was really good at doing. RB coaching and recruiting stunk, but at least the ST was good. With Pearman, we've had bad recruiting and ST...

I think he will get some chances when there is space or a low kick. looks like they are not pushing it because the way the D plays we know we get plenty of O plays where he is even more dangerous

routinely started on the 40 yard line. Of course, it is getting to be pretty rare to even seen a KO return unless the KO team is kicking into the wind. I really don't remember the last time we had a dynamic punt returner.

Ray Ray is our best return man. I think ball security has kept him from being THE GUY. I do agree that the blocking is virtually nonexistent on punts.

priceless WRs shouldn't be returning punts and kickoffs. It's just not worth the risk to any, imo. Where would we be if Sammy had returned 70 points against the teams we beat and we lost him for the remainder of the season?
Which one of our speedy receivers would you swap for a win right now?

Why use Scott anyway since he gets many O snaps
Oct 19, 2015, 12:25 PM

We should be giving more time to guys who won't get tired by the end of the game from playing so many snaps.
How about Hopper or Davidson? Davidson has speed and even by the end of the game would have fresh legs.

Seems to me the problem is lack of blocking. When Artavis

and dances too much. He's a great receiver. Just think he's not the guy for returns. And we have so many others to choose from including guys that aren't in on nearly every snap on offense.

The Gunners. Same as last year. Either the players refuse to do it, they are uncoachable, or, they are being taught to let them run free! Watch the NFL and pay attention to the Gunners and how it is a Battle Royal!
