If Dabo is convinced he is in high demand

Clements and Neff should give Dabo and his agent a few weeks to quietly test his value on the open market like an under contract NFL player who feels unappreciated. If another university truly wants Coach Swinney, he will waive his Clemson buy-out or the hiring university will pay the buyout for his services.
If Dabo decides he wishes to stay, Clemson should mandate the hiring of an OC and possibly a new DC who will both have the ability to hire their own staffs and call their own schemes and plays. Swinney deserves a high level of respect and a high salary for his many successes. He does not deserve an open-ended ticket to belittle and second guess Clemson administration, alums, booster and fans for his shortcomings.

call me crazy but I wouldn't imagine the market for 1-3 (0-2 in a crappy conference) coach is all that expansive
especially one that can’t stop ranting at boosters and supporters …and whose program seems to be drifting backwards
we are married to this coach for a few more years for better or for worse
all we can do is hope for the better
i recommend also picking a hobby that isn’t CFB Saturdays so ya got something else going on to fill/enjoy a weekend

I was out hiking, doing smores and having plenty of fun with over 25 people yesterday. Very happy I did not find out about Clemson's loss until about 10:00 PM last night. They stink.

in your cranium you have brown matter.
There are less than 10 programs in the country that would not tell their head coach to take a hike if they could hire Dabo.
You and people like you really are dumb!

I don't think any program in the top 25 would trade even for

Dabo right now, much less absorb a buy out.
I'm not saying fire Dabo, but I think we can start accepting the fact that the product he is offering today is not what he offered 5+ years ago, even considering last year's playoff appearance..

Really? Is that what you would do? If you had an employment contract and your company wanted you to leave, would you simply walk away from $60 million your contract entitled you to "for the good of the company?" You can't be that naive' and be old enough to post on Tigernet!

What do you not understand about "If another university truly wants Coach Swinney, he will waive his Clemson buy-out or the hiring university will pay the buyout for his services.?" Unsure about my 63 year old naïveté, but my investments appear to be working out just fine. Maybe I am naive.

Dabo is not going to walk away on his own. It is up to Neff and the Administration to force Dabo to use the portal and change his assistant coaches. Will Neff act? Doubtful. This is an AD who gives raises to a basketball coach who can't win more than one game in any ACCT.

Dabo would be great at going in and rebuilding a team with a broken system. Similar to the post Bowden days.
He has that mentality about him, but after the 2 national championships, some good coaches moving on and the landscape of college football changing he may not have what is now required to win. I hate to say things like this and would not if I did not believe it. We mention Dabo needs to change, but not sure if Dabo has that type of personality.
Recruiting in today’s world is a lost art. Why worry so much about it? Look around and get talent that is already producing somewhere.

I actually think he is in demand. His stock is dropping quickly though.

I mean if Dabo were that great you seriously think Bama would have taken DeBoer over him. Dabo wants us to think he’s in high demand and sure there probably a few schools who would take him. But no one is going to pay that buy out, especially if they’ve just fired another coach and having to pay those buyouts.
