Would you rather have Arch Manning at Clemson or CK? I would rather have CK. I remember when Arch came to Clemson during his recruiting, many felt there was a real chance he would come to Clemson. However, it appears that money prevailed and he chose to go to Texas. He is surrounded by many outstanding, well paid professional athletes on his team. Yet, they still lose. I have watched him in his 3 losses this year. To me, it looks as if they are all just playing for a paycheck. Texas seems to not have any spirit. They are just another pro team in the state and Arch is just another highly paid pro player.

He has talent but very inconsistent. He has been carried more by his name than his arm.

Neither one shows the skills to play in the NFL at the present time...Many people were saying the same thing about our pro players.

The truth was, it was between Simpson and Klubnik. Clemson offered Klubnik when Simpson chose 'Bama. It was Manning vs CV. We lost on Manning, but I am high on CV. I think Simpson and Manning are both good players and high character men, but I am satisfied with the ones we have.

I think either Klubnik,, Simpson, or Manning could win a national championship if surrounded by the right coaching and the right players. In Miami during the early 2000s either of those three could’ve replaced Ken Dorsey on those great university of Miami team and had roughly the same success with that coaching staff and that surrounding talent. Neither of those three could play on that team right now given their propensity for mistakes. All three would’ve had to have been inserted into that coaching and winning culture early.

Simpson is significantly better than Klubnik and Manning.
Alabama’s non-QB personnel is not of National Championship caliber. Bama would need a truly special QB to counter their ‘not truly top-shelf’ personnel to maybe win a Nat,Championship. SMU’s Kevin Jennings, for example, could lead Bama to Nat.Championship. Bama, though, won’t truly be a Nat.Championship caliber contender with Simpson.
Texas does have Nat.Champ caliber personnel outside of QB position. Nat.Champ caliber doesn’t mean ‘best’ in the country. Rather, TX’s non-QB personnel is good enough to win with a very good (doesn’t have to be great) QB. TX could win it all with Simpson. Bama won’t really compete for one with Simpson.
With Manning, TX won’t get close to really contending for Nat.Champ. His play actually brings TX down.
UGA’s Gunner Stockton is a very good (prob. Will sit on a NFL bench someday) QB. He’s good enough to lead UGA’s superb personnel to a Nat.Championship. Stockton is not as good as Simpson. Yeah yeah I know that Alabama best UGA (again) this year. Bama will maybe make CFP, but won’t get past the second round (if they play UVA or TX Tech). It would Bama to have a truly exceptional QB like SMU’s Kevin Jennings (a healthy KJ) to be a legit Nat.Champ contender.
(Of course, Clemson is not close even with a T.Lawrence or D.Watson to win it all.)

UGA does a good job playing to Gunner's strengths. He reminds me of the guy Riley had a TCU, Duggan. Simpson is definitely a better qb than Cade or Arch. As it's been stated before, Dabo wanted him badly, which tells me he can still evaluate. I disagree that Jennings is better than Simpson. Simpson is a better pure passer than Jennings.

Trevor Lawrence and Deshaun Watson are once in a lifetime Generational QB’s. For a Head Coach to get both of them in a 5 year period is an incredible accomplishment in itself. Then to win 2 National Championships in 4 years is amazing. To play for the National Championship 4 consecutive years is phenomenal.
Congrats to Clemson Nation, Dabo, his staff, and their awesome accomplishments. Success Clemson had never experienced prior to Dabo’s arrival as our HC. Bringing in a constant flow of amazing talent over a decade, prior to greed and 💰💰💰💰 created by Ed O’Banon’s lawsuit that brought about NIL.
In the New World of play for pay college athletics building year after year consistent success will be much more difficult than any time in the history of College athletics !!!

Don’t forget about the money under the table that Miami players were receiving at the time. It’s not like Miami’s cheating during their National Championship days is a National Security Secret 🫣💰💰💰💰💰💰💰

A big similarity for them is the weight of expectations

But Klubnik’s expectations are earned, and Manning’s are mostly arbitrary.
I feel bad for them both, but it is the path they have chosen. The big difference is now CK’s expectations have been tempered and may never approach the level they were at a few months ago. Arch will always have his last name, and be pressured to reach the high bar established by his uncles.
