Most people don’t know, but there are over 1000 monkeys on Morgan Island, down near Beaufort. They call it “Monkey Island”. They use these monkeys for all kinds of research. Evidently there is research facility in the Beaufort area that had 43 of these monkeys and they escaped from the facility!

By the way, on Morgan Island the monkeys just run free. If you go there by boat you can see them in the trees. As the day gets hot, they move further inland. Out of sight.

The escapee's facility in question is in Yemassee.

Good thing they didn't escape in Columbia...they'd blend in with the locals and never be captured...

You should be able to identify them as many will be wearing lipstick or other cosmetics!

I pass that place every time I go to Beaufort and cut through Yemasee.

At a research facility.

Fortunately, unlike Ebola Sudan and Evils Zaire, that variant apparently was not transmissible to humans.

The last report I saw said these little girl monkeys hadn't been there long enough to be exposed to anything yet. So at least this is more Project X than Outbreak. :)

No worries, the monkeys that escaped had only just arrived at the facility. Nothing to worry about. Go on about your business. Of course, the government could be lying. Look up the history of Lyme disease and how that little gem got started.
