Yes, we know that, but what is the point of rankings during the season if there is no correlation to seeding in the tournament? Purdue is ranked 20 but is a 4 seed. When are ranked 10 but a 5 seed. Louisville really got the shaft.

The selection committee makes their own ranking in the end, using numerous metrics.

The committee had Clemson as the #18 team in the tournament.
