Who cares how the ACC does in bowl games, only game...

with the SEC teams.

College teams are funded by TV money gained from conference contracts with networks. The reason that we're at about a 5 million dollar annual deficit to South Carolina is because of the perceived superiority of the SEC to the ACC.

So, if you want Clemson to be on equal financial footing with the SEC teams, you should probably pull for the ACC.

Gamecock Club money. They are already having to do a 4 million dollar renovation on their baseball stadium, which was just built a few years ago. IPTAY money is much larger than Gamecock Club money. By the way we still out recruit the coots, and we can recruit nationally something the coots are unable to do. Their football stadium has open air restrooms within 20 feet of their concession stands. Their football stands bend heavily. They do no routine maintenance on their facilities. So it may look good when it's first built, but a few years later it looks like it's never been cleaned. They are far behind us facility wise, and we are still continuing to update and improve our facilities. So I fail to see any "financial advantage" the coots have over us.

because we aren't getting the job done on the field...

check the recruiting rankings. Year in and year out, we are rated much higher than them. I'm sorry but they barely beat us, considering we had 6 turnovers, 14 points that's not an #### whooping. We are able to recruit nationally. You don't see the coots getting players or consideration from players in NY, Texas, California, Hawaii, like we have over the past few years.

So you're admitting that their coaching is better? Must be, if Clemson has gotten better recruits over the past five years.

stop to oust John Swofford as ACC commissioner, who has been giving sweetheart nepotism deals to his son instead of doing whats best for the ACC.

Next year

Dec 29, 2013, 1:13 AM

If team number 4 and 5 have the same record, the committee with go with intangibles. Perceived conference strength based upon recent head to head wins, may be one of them. In our case, beating the current national champion on their home field will be worth more than beating an FSU team that got punked by Auburn. Nice resume item if we are on the cusp.
So how the ACC does, especially FSU will help position us next year...provided we run the table next year. If we end up with a couple of losses it won't matter much.

badge-donor-05yr.jpgmilitary_donation.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Perception of the ACC as a weak conference will hurt us.***

Yes it improved by winning games and will continue to improve by winning games. Therefore giving Clemson more credibility nationally.
