Anyone here get the chance to see Weapon X in Death Valley

Unfortunately it was right before my time but have seen all of his highlights as he was one of my dad’s favorite players and became mine in the NFL. That man played the game of football on an entirely different level than everyone else. Wish I could’ve seen him play live but an absolute Tiger legend.

I was fortunate enough to see most of his home games. I’m kinda old and my father had season tickets until I was old enough to get my own. He was amazing. I’ve been fortunate enough to see greats from Steve Fuller to Trevor Lawrence and beyond.
Some of my favorites through the years include, Ed McDaniel, Donnell Woolford, Kieth Adams, Levon Kirkland, Isaiah Simmons, Sammy Watkins, Brian Dawkins, William Perry, Woody Danztler, DW4, TL16, and my all time favorite CJ Spiller.

That’s awesome, wish I would’ve been alive to have seen him play in The Paw. Could watch his highlights all day, and had one of the best HoF speeches ever.

Absolutely was very rare for an athlete as gifted as Dawkins to be as humble and appreciative as he was. The epitome of what a Clemson Man is

Sat next to some clown one year when we played Duke at home

Dawkins had an interception early in the game. Clown goes, “He got lucky. He sucks. Can’t cover. Can’t catch. Slow. Etc.”
Dawkins had two more interceptions — all in the first quarter, if memory serves.
After the third the clown shut up.

As I recall, when I got to watch him, he didn’t get the pub he could have because he was kinda overshadowed by a true freshman LB named Anthony Simmons. ACC ROY and all American as a true freshman. I think he either led the county or was close to leading the country in tackles.
Back in the olden days we didn’t have 97 sports channels so one or two guys got all of the run.

I used to show Brian Dawkins pictures to ALLweatherfan Jr

Before his games (of any sport-Soccer, Wrestling, FB) just to get him fired up to play well. When ALLweatherfan Jr was in elementary school he played goalie for his soccer team and was very aggressive. He’d come out and take a ball off someone’s foot! Then he got kicked in head one time and that took his aggression away. I was trying to think of a way to get him fired up and not scared of being kicked in the head and I started showing him Brian Dawkins videos. That did the trick!

I hope we can get Covil Jr going and keep him in Clemson, the way he hits people reminds me a lot of Dawkins
