That’s it for the Dabo dynasty. we are 3-4 have lost the last 5 home games vs Power conference teams and we have the most returning talent like in the country… like how bad is it gonna be next year if this is what we get with all the talent we have right now. The recruiting will probably continue to regress we will probably lose key prices to the portal because this team is a sinking ship this year has been catastrophically bad for this program and say what you want but that’s the truth. And I love Dabo and I love Clemson but that’s the reality….

I’m not saying fire him or anything especially with buyout but I do think we have now dug our self a massive hole that I don’t think dabos climbing out of unless he abandons his ideology of how he runs his program and goes straight to the portal and fires all these 0 experience coaches and family hires

I agree, he is going to have to make a signiificant philosophical change to his culture and then adapt and adopt an entirely new program.

He will always have two national championship trophies… But he’s also about to go down as the most stubborn SOB, who was so arrogant and weak he couldn’t adapt to the changes in college football and filled his coaching roster with friends, family, and former players when he should’ve brought the best of the best to Clemson all the time

With the 2nd most championship already being 7 years behind us. I think the pendulum has fully swung to the other side now and I'm viewing Dabo more based on the last 5 years than the 5 years before that. If he stayed out of fan bashing, portal refusals, friends and family staff and coaches, etc, we would have performed better and he would have maintained the pendulum on the positive side, but unfortunately he didn't.

was the correct path to maximizing wins at Clemson under his leadership. This was Dabo's often articulated hypothesis. This hypothesis crashed and burned in 2025.
Dabo needs some help as the State of College Football HC responsibilities has grown exponentially, and the burden on him is more than he can manage. This is a reason Coach Nick Saban left the HC profession.

Dabo figured out the game and beat it, the system changed with the portal and NIL. Like Saban, he couldn’t figure out the new game. Unlike Saban, he doesn’t know that he doesn’t know.

If he doesn’t hit the portal hard then nothing will change. He’s gonna to have to totally change how he builds these teams from now on. No longer can you recruiting just high school and develop. Each year you’re making a team. Some high school kids will stay and be loyal. The holes will need to be filled in with transfers. Need to be willing to play the NIL game to compete with anyone. Next year is not a total loss if we do use the portal. We’ve seen that two of the guys that we got are really good.
I’m telling the team that nobody is safe. I’m going out to get the best of the best and you have to compete to win your job every year. This is now minor league in NFL.
If we see no change and how we go about building next year’s team, then you know he’s not going to change.

Yea. We should just cancel the season since we probably won’t even have enough guys to play.
But I did rather enjoy the 90s. I was thirty-something for most of the decade and living large. I would love to feel like the 90s again.

Given the many issues with the current state of the football program and the ones I'm sure nobody but insiders know about it will take a complete overhaul by Dabo. They haven't looked bad, they've looked incompetent. Some players have played so bad I wonder if they've ever played the game. Now admittedly the UNC and BC games the looked better but those two teams are terrible. I believe in Dabo and truly believe he can rebuild this program because at this point that's exactly what it is. A complete rebuild.

I think Neff needs to tell him to release many of the present coaches that are not qualified because of lack of coaching experience and hire people who actually know about coaching.

I don’t want him gone. I want to see how he responds at the end of the season. If he doesn’t make dramatic sweeping changes to the program and the old way of doing things, then I’ll agree. I’d call this season Dabo’s Awakening. If he doesn’t wake up, then yes it will be time.

It’s so depressing and head scratching. The most realistic ceiling is probably playing in the Mayo Bowl but I think 5-7 and missing a bowl at all is probably going to happen. The real story will be next year. If there’s not a significant rebound next year that can put some life in this program Dabo should go.
