So we get crushed by Georgia, the hype train comes to a screeching halt. We realize hey this is probably not our season

Sorry I accidentally hit post. We realize hey this is probably not our season and our hopes and dreams temper tremendously. Then we rip off six straight wins with gaudy offensive numbers and hope is restored and visions of playoffs around only to be dashed by the next team we play with the pulse. College football, the cruel mistress...

not betrayed but surprised because we thought the games after the opener showed we bounced back. We did not contemplate the weakness of the opponents. In fact I still believe we were pasted by a relatively weak (3 loss) opponent at home. I hope we bounce back but I am not sure still how solid we are.

Betrayed by the coaches...in fall practice we heard how great everyone was doing and loaded with All American...same old comments for the past 3 or 4 years...the talent in the past had made the coaches look good..but all good people but not all good coaches...

I don’t feel betrayed. I remember well some very bad seasons years back and there was no chance of any redemption. Saturday vs Louisville wasn’t pretty but it was a dose of reality. We got the explanations that we expected; outcoached, outplayed,,,,. Will turn this around. Our 2016 and 2018 seasons spoiled me and a lot of others. Hope to win out and get a decent (if there is one anymore) bowl game to finish this season. Go Tigers!

Yeah, I don't feel betrayed. In fact, I've posted all along in the 6 win stretch that I was cautiously optimistic.
But to your point on the bowls. They've been brutally going down with just the 4 team playoff. I'm wondering how many will fold after this year... because I expect viewership to be way way down for those other than the 12 teams. Think opt outs and actual attendance were bad the last 4 years, I expect it'll tank this round of bowls.

I honestly HOPE Clemson loses to Va Tech, Pitt and the Gamecocks now. Finish 7-5 so the heat to get Dabo out will increase. He has taken Clemson as far as he will now. His regression as a HC is so obvious. We need new blood at the HC postion. 4 years of slow deterioration is enough. I was awakened after the Louisville fiasco. Josh Pate was right. Paul Finebaum was right. Enough is enough. The Tommy Bowden era is back under him. Until he's gone, Clemson won't get back into the CFP, let alone win another Natty. I've been spoiled by the 2 Natty's. Excellence is all that matters to me now, not "Middle-of-the road" mediocrity.

Not me. Thought we would be 9-3 before the season began. Now, think we could be 8-4.

Lol. You actually think it can be done overnight. Be careful what you ask for. Could be 10 years of Tommy Bowdan all over. Dabo deserved to get this turned acround even if it takes a couple of years.

I don't feel betrayed, no. I predicted the season exactly as its happened before the season. I got thumbed to oblivion for telling people that our opponents had been terrible (even when I included their stats). But it was obvious to anyone who didn't drink Dabo's kool-aid. I didn't, so I don't feel betrayed. But I am frustrated that people allow him to run the program into the dirt and pay his friends and family.

"betrayed"????? Probably a really poor choice of words or a really poor take on the season...
we have lost 2 games... second half of Georgia, we did not make adjustments on the edge and UGA exploited that.
Offense was tepid.. at least it seemed that way in the dome...
Louisville was a completely different animal... they played lights out and we seemed like we were still on the bye week...
Move on and win, thats all the team can do...
Betrayed? Not at all.
Betrayed by the Conferneces and networks for the hideous TV timeouts... they changed the rules to spped up the game and filled the time they saved with TV timeouts...

Good take on the TV timeouts and the conferences. I wrote this OP last week and just after the Louisville fiasco, emotions were running high. Betrayed was probably the wrong word to use, but the sentiment remains that a lot of us thought our team was back, just to find out, quite rudely, that it wasn't.
