Well we could definitely use some help on the DL. Maybe a good DC can convince a few studs to go with him.

I think the Dline will be fine. Main thing is get Vic healthy. We need to move Barnes to nickle. He is much better there. That leaves a huge hole at safety losing Mickens. I think we grab a safety and a linebacker. I think we can have a top 10 defense if this happens.

When we were at our best I remember sometimes subbing 3 on the DL and it really was not a huge deal.
I would like to be sure our OL’s and DL’s are solid. Maybe they will be but against teams like Ga and Texas we were obviously getting beat in the trenches. Hard to win. Boise last night, it kind of went like that as well, PSU’s lines on both sides dominated as has most of these teams still in the playoffs.

If you watch a lot of football it seems the team that is unable to stop the run or able to run will lose more times than not.

Good Point!! We experienced that all this past year. We could not stop a good running team. We could not run against a good run defense. Especially after Mafah got hurt. If we can get the improvement in OL in run blocking like we did in Pass Blocking, we will be tough. Go Tigers!!!

I'm more concerned with the Safeties. Jones and Dixon were 2 4* guys that might get the chance, losing Covil I thought hurt some, possibly move Barnes back there. But a quality starting Safety would help the back in and maybe run support. I think losing Mickens was a bigger lost than Carter.
