Statement from President Joe Biden on the Wildfires in Hawaii

STATEMENTS AND RELEASES
Jill and I send our deepest condolences to the families of those who lost loved ones in the wildfires in Maui, and our prayers are with those who have seen their homes, businesses, and communities destroyed. We are grateful to the brave firefighters and first responders who continue to run toward danger, putting themselves in harm’s way to save lives.
I have ordered all available Federal assets on the Islands to help with response. The Hawaiian National Guard has mobilized Chinook Helicopters to help with fire suppression and search and rescue on the Island of Maui. The U.S. Coast Guard and Navy Third Fleets are supporting response and rescue efforts. The Army is providing Black Hawk Helicopters to fight the fires on the Big Island. The Department of Transportation is working with commercial airlines to evacuate tourists from Maui, and the Department of the Interior and the United States Department of Agriculture stand ready to support post fire recovery efforts.
I urge all residents to continue to follow evacuation orders, listen to the instructions of first responders and officials, and stay alert

The inextricable is that Biden, our president, is so addled that he cannot make a simple comment expressing his condolences.
All he can cough up is “no comment.”
Would it have been too much for Biden to say ‘this is terrible’ or ‘it’s a tragedy’?
America’s leftiesg have incredibly low standards for their elected leaders. (See Fetterman and Feinstein in addition to Biden). Low self-expectations from the lefties translates into low expectations for their leaders.

Typically that means the money was obtained illegally, and it needs to be "cleansed" by diluting it with other income through expenditure in construction, enhancements or just counted falsified income.
Since the money going to Ukraine is taxpayer money (or borrowed through the issuances of T-bills, t-bonds and other debt instruments) how was it obtained illegally? What is being "laundered"?

$40B and building a standalone two-story garage in his backyard, and lining his pockets with the rest of it, because there's no accountability once that $40B is transferred. It's not true, but that part really doesn't matter, because it's a better story to believe that money just goes into an inexplible black hole with nothing to show for it and no clue how it was spent.

"Grift" is small scale petty swindling.
The amount of money the US has provided Ukraine is not that, for certain.
And who would be the benefactor of this laundering, or grift, or crime (if that's what you really mean?)
We see the weapons we are giving them in use. We see they are being furnished to them.
If you have a problem giving money and supplies to Ukraine, that's a whole 'nother issue than meaning that there is an actual crime happening there.

I have a LOT of issues with Joe Biden, but don't see anything to criticize him on this. The best thing he can do is see to it that the FEMA responds appropriately and continue for now to stay away from Maui.
His arrival on Air Force One would be nothing but a photo op and a nuisance for the continuing recovery in Lahaina.
What we do deserve is a prime time speech addressing what our ultimate goal is in Ukraine. Is it complete withdrawal from Eastern Ukraine by Russia or restoration of Crimea to Ukraine?
Is Biden going to demand more out of the European countries to fund this war that does not directly threaten the US, but certainly does many European countries?
What are we doing or do we have any effort under way to encourage a negotiated settlement?
On Maui, I don't see a problem. I feel certain that Hawaii will receive a ton of federal assistance.
If anyone is worried over Maui, there is certainly no prohibition on anyone on this site contributing to the Red Cross, Samaritan's Purse, etc.
