Dabo has staged this so KB will be crushed if he does not meet undefeated season and Heisman quality standards ... because this Clemson team is the most talented in history and at least two backups have high NFL starter potential.

It's a tough situation for a coach to have so many quality QB's & it's hard to keep them all happy period. Dabo has the wisdom to handle it properly!!

1. KB is improving from last year
2. KB shows the most leadership
3. KB has the most experience
4. KB has earned it
5. We base our decision on what we see everyday in practice
6. The rest are not far behind. TL had a great run
7. After we reviwed the O&W tape we found out that KB made all the right decisions
8. We have a long list of attributes that we check off and KB scores the most.
So after fall practice here is a list of starters
1. KB been here the longest
2. HJ Been here the second longest with experience
3. CB Been here the second longest with no experience

Lawrence is a rare football player and has the talent for Heisman, but this ESPN post is just stupid. Freshman year before the season. Pretty soon, we'll have writers for highschoolers. Find another job Fiutek, imo. There needs to be some sort of relevancy and accuracy measure to get rid of absurd articles and posts from so called professional sports media.

Not to take anything away from TL, but if I were to name a Heisman contender based on the spring game, it would be Tee Higgins. The dude made those DBs look silly.
Too bad all of that talent is wasted on a team that is cycling out. It must be nice being a Chicken. I'm scared to death of what Mushy is doing down there.

The kid hasn’t played a single down of live football, & isn’t even out named starter, & they’re calling him a Heisman front runner??? I’m excited about the kid too, but let’s not put the cart before the horse... That’s the kind of stuff that cost Deshaun the Heisman..

First off, it’s awesome that we’re on the verge of another season of Clemson Tigers Football!!
Secondly, let me say that it’s been great to hear all of the positive comments from sportswriters, ESPN, etc. However, it does have its drawbacks. There’s no doubt that we’ve got a solid team. Dabo and his staff have done a phenomenal job recruiting as evidenced by the caliber of talent they’ve been able to sign. They’ve got a ton of experience. Especially big game experience! The only thing I don’t like is that it can sometimes make expectations too high to live up too. When I read that Trevor Lawrence was named as a top Heisman candidate I couldn’t believe it. My first thought was that they were setting that kid up for failure especially since he hasn’t played a down of COLLEGE football yet unless you count Saturday’s Spring Game. Now, I’m not doubting his talent as QB at all but college football is a TOTALLY different monster than high school football. He’s more than capable of playing that position but there’s always a learning curve there and if he plays and struggles a little bit there are a lot of fans out there that will turn on him and then the next thing you know sportswriters, ESPN, etc will start calling him a bust. I’d really hate to see that happen to any of our players. I’m sure Coach Swinney and his staff have already addressed stuff like this with the team but I wanted to see if anyone felt the same as me in regards to that article. Can’t wait for the season to get here!
