Alcohol at Games

This would be a great opportunity to partner with an In state brewery to brew a beer specifically for Clemson athletic events that allow it. Something with a very low ABV would be ideal. Maybe even do a light and dark beer for different tastes. Lots of opportunities for creativity and collaboration.

Selling $2-4 worth of draft beer for $15 is a pretty god profit model. I’m wondering now if they’ll combine this with ending pass outs.

I think you were right the first time since the profit model is what is being worshipped with this.

Having a brewery such as Anheuser Bush spent $50 million a year on NIL in addition to the profit made on alcohol sales is the best economic model of all. No local brewery will be able to compete with the large national brands for total sponsorship and sales

Roll the Quad. I live in Winston-Salem and I know all of the NC schools do it.

Good morning and GoTigers!
I will be in the minority on this one. I know that fans drink before the game, after the game, and sometimes during the game, but allowing alcohol to be sold in the stadium is a questionable decision. I am of the opinion that adding fuel to an already lit fire is never a good thing. Selling to fans who have already been lubricated pregame is going to lead to an unenjoyable game day for the fans that sit near the obnoxious drunk and to the drivers on the road after the game. Young and sometimes underage students, with an underdeveloped brain, are going to make poor decisions as well.
I understand that we all want to win. That we want our university to be successful in athletics. We are at a point with NIL and the transfer portal that we feel like we have to pull out all of the stops to have a chance to win. I, however, am not at that point.
Football has been a part of my life since I was 5 years old, through 40 years of coaching, and still now in my “part time “ job. What we still miss is that football at all levels is still a game. There has got to be another way.
Thanks for letting me share my thoughts. So, go ahead and pile on.

GO TIGERS!
