Aggie Touchdown Drive

Did anyone think Jimbo's decision to play Mond (hurt) on the last (insignificant) drive plus call a time out and go for it on fourth down was crazy? I'm glad we have a coach who would never do that.

That TD drive was a gift from Dabo to Jimbo’s ego. It goes a long way toward letting the loser Aggie’s butthurt feel better and it didn’t cost us anything.

Last TD was for beating the spread for big time aTm contributors.
Mitigates the upset with the coach when he wins the bet, even though it's a loss.

Have to keep them happy or the "consultant fee" $$$ to the 7on7 coaches dries up.
That was a money drive for Jimbo !!!

What were they supposed to do - not try to score? I was impressed with their grit on their last drive, as well as the fire on our defense to try to stop them.

Is their non-injured back-up QB really that bad?

That drive may pay off for TAMU down the road.

Game was over. Tamu starters had already proved that they could not score when it mattered. They proved it over 50 minutes of game time. So what should we do now? A- Have starters prove they can score when it doesn’t matter? Orrrrrrrrr..... B- Work on the rest of the team that have been busting it for the last 6 months?

Got a little greedy in their last possession I thought. It looked like they were trying to pad Lawrence’s stats throwing long with very little time left. They could have run the clock down but instead gave up a pick. Holding them to NO touchdown would have been BIG.

It's called coaching game situations and Dabo did the same thing in the Sugar Bowl, only difference was we didn't convert on 4th down.

Don't know, but ESPN commentators were saying that Jimbo didn't want 2 games without scoring a touchdown. This was his first. Oct 27, 2017 Florida State 3 @ Boston College 35

I think [we] tend to over-dramatize the game

Jimbo tells his players to get out there and score a touchdown. Maybe it does't matter in this game, but his teams needs to feel what it's like to have a successful drive so when they play a much lesser talented team (SEC), they can use that experience to build on.
