GREENSBORO, N.C. (theACC.com) - The Atlantic Coast Conference announced today that the Notre Dame at Wake Forest football game will be rescheduled for Saturday, December 12. The game was originally scheduled to be played Saturday, September 26. The rescheduling follows the positive tests and subsequent quarantining of student-athletes within the Notre Dame football team. The conference and team are adhering to the outlined protocols within the ACC Medical Advisory Group report, which is available on theACC.com (full report).
The Campbell at Wake Forest game that was originally scheduled for Friday, October 9 will now be played Friday, October 2. The game will be aired on ACC Network at 7 p.m. As was previously announced, the 2020 ACC Football scheduling model includes 11 games (10 conference plus one non-conference). The 11 games will be played over at least 13 weeks with each team having two open dates. The two open dates for each team allows flexibility, when possible, to make necessary adjustments. Game times and television selections will be released in the future.

Play doubleheaders and start a new normal. Shorten games to one half. Turn it into a video game mode

It's huge to ND they didn't use 10/3 instead. Basically now, ND cannot afford another "postponed" game. When they lose to us, they'll sit in standings with a loss. So, say UNC has one loss as well. Say ND then has another game postponed....UNC doesn't.....ND has no more room to make a game up and then you got UNC ahead of them in the standings by percentage points. Watching all these postponements are very interesting.
We should be thankful our staff seems to have a leg up on this and in a better position. Lord, we're not even in October yet.....long ways to still go to get to December for conf championship games and then Jan for playoffs.

When is ACC Championship, 12/19?

Does anyone know what happens if teams complete a different number of conference games? Let's say Clemson goes 10-0, Miami goes 9-1 and Notre Dame goes 8-1 (hypothetically, not sure if they play each other). Who is our ACCCG opponent? Miami due to better win percentage? What if they do play each other, and Miami ends up 9-1 with a loss to ND and ND ends up 8-1. Who goes in that scenario?

Your last sentence would be a very interesting scenario.
I'm just hoping that however this plays out that Clemson takes care of business and isn't the team hoping for a technicality to get them in.
