The GOR is DOA. It will be over turned by a court, or the Florida legislature or Gov. Will invalidate it. Either way, FSU IS OUT OF ACC and Swofford's legacy is dead.

Yep, that is how I see this playing out as well. Florida courts will dissolve the GOR but this could be appealed all the way up to the US Supreme Court . It will take some time but we will shall see

Should be fun times watching them try to get into the SEC or B1G

without signing a similar GOR, or a version of a version. If they enter the conference partnership with someone else, they will also be handing over rights and coming to an agreement of an exit fee along with the rest of that inviting conference. They don't like what they signed, I get it, but doesn't mean it'll be smooth sailing IF they get out of the ACC and then try and turn around to negotiate how to get in another conference.

The SEC and BIG do not have a contract like the ACC. PLUS, AND THIS IS THE BIGGIE, the SEC and BIG are exercising their fiduciary responsibilities by getting the most for their members.

Highly doubtful. With precedence already established and the far reaching impact of a reversal, no matter how Florida rules, this will be tied up for years in appeals. I think a larger reorganization will come about before a final ruling is ever delivered.

I think it is more likely that some sort of financial settlement will be reached at some point. I'm guessing all of the current posturing is to motivate the parties to get to the negotiating table and work something out that could be a solution that governs other exits as well.

The state government in Fla or any state. I can’t remember where that came up. The can evoke some statue whenever they choose. So maybe that’s the way to say FU to the ACC if the right state Government is willing. Seems like DeSantis is that guy, if the ACC did file that this morning
