Ole Nicky is very shrewd and doesnt make mistakes. So when he left Bama he knew what was in the cupboard and how they would most likely look. He dropped Toledo after a year to go to the Browns and built an impressive from then on making the right move except for going to the NFL. He recovered from that nicely.

So if you think it is a coincidence they are less than stellar you are wrong. Maybe he was a little tired of NIL and agents but if he had the horses he would have stayed to get more millions of Bama HC money. He still has managed to get money from Bama, Vrbo, Aflac, and ESECPN.

The guy is 73 years old, worth an estimated $70M and has several income streams in retirement. He ownes a luxury car dealership, high end hotel, espn salary and several advertising gigs. So putting up with all the crap in CFB today just to earn more money that he will never spend does not seem like it would be a factor regardless of the quality of team he expected in 2024

The current situation cannot be maintained. Dabo knows this. He is in it to win it and is willing to stay in the game with a hope for that the brokenness in the game right now will be fixed.
