A Public Apology Is Due

A week or so back, I displayed unprofessional behavior on the TNET boards towards TattedCop. While I would have liked to keep that matter of embarrassing behavior private, I feel that a public apology is owed. So, I will share what was sent to him so that in good conscience, everyone who bore witness to my embarrassing behavior can know that I have cleared the air with him. Shared below is the apology that I sent to him in a T-MAIL. I am doing this because an open offense deserves an open rebuke and by the convictions of my own heart, I have decided to display my public apology to TATTEDCOP.

"TattedCop:

I wanted to take a moment to apologize for being rude, nasty, and plain out unprofessional in my responses to you on the boards. That sort of behavior is beneath me, and I am ashamed of it. I took my aggressions for Greer PD, the AG, and 7th Judicial Circuit out on you and while you may have provoked me ever so slightly, you didn't deserve the rant that ensued.

I hope you can forgive my rude and obnoxious behavior that I displayed towards you. At the end of the day, I was found "NOT" guilty and as a result, I didn't serve 13 years in prison. I'm a free man and although it financially set me back about 6 years, I still have much to be grateful for. Again, I apologize for my unruly and mostly uncharacteristic outburst.

I am an overly zealous person about life in general and have way too much energy for most people, and while I cannot change who I am due to a simple refusal to do so, it does not mean that I am excused for being a jerk to someone else. I hope you accept my apology and be rest assured that I won't be a jerk towards you on the boards again.

Sincerely,

CHESTYPULLER0311"

Thank you for tagging him. I was flat out wrong for my behavior even if he brought up something that was an upsetting topic for me. It was immature and hopefully there is no longer any hard feelings. I even find myself taking up for Judge Keller on rare occasions and he really can get underneath my skin on here. At the end of the day, it's a social media website and it's not that important in the grand scheme of life.

Christ doesn't care about what is cringy at the end of the day. As a man who believes strongly in the one who died for my sins, I follow His commandments whenever I commit to a behavior that is unworthy of a man who claims Christ. The commandment is simple, and that is to apologize with a sincere heart and ask the individual who the behavior is directed towards for forgiveness. TATTEDCOP has forgiven me, and now my conscience feels lighter. I'm glad I did apologize because it actually bothered me for a while.

It takes a big man to apologize. You have earned my respect. You have done what most due to pride would never do. I applaud you for that. I have been called coot liar idiot stupid ignorant among many other things. I consider the source and move on. You are special to do what you have done with your apology.

No worries man. I deserved it anyway. I was being a smart @s$ to you and it wasn't warranted. My apologies to you too. I deserved your wrath for being a ######## even though I initially meant it as a joke. I was still wrong.

Men at 25 play football. Men at 40 play tennis. Men at 60 play golf. Have you noticed as men get older their balls get smaller.

Men being adults. I like it. Good job you two.***

That may be true, but I took it a step too far. I may be a hyperactive man, but I will always admit whenever I am wrong on something.

Who gave TattedCop a thumbs down? That's not right. We need more dialogue in the world and more people taking accountability. Honestly, it bothered me for a while that I acted the way I did, and I wished more people would own up to their mistakes. I suffered for 3 years because people were too afraid to admit a mistake. That kind of behavior is what lead up to my suffering, and I told myself from that day forward that I would never shrug off an opportunity to own up to my shortcomings. Hence, my message today. If anyone deserved a TD, it would have been my diabolical diatribe to TattedCop.

I think PBT did it by accident. I gave you and him a TU to counterbalance.

Just saw that. Hopefully, PacificTiger didn't get too upset over my message. I rarely give a thumbsdown unless there is a coot on the board. Not someone who is merely being accused of cootism, but someone who is actually NOT a Clemson fan. I give thumbs downs as frequently as I can for them.

...for the most part I think people here are able to disagree without pouting/TDing.

I guess I will leave this here, some of my favorite posters I tend to disagree with regularly.
