Have always liked Whistlepig, one the only Rye's I like. Had some of this at a friend's yesterday and had to stop on the way home, it's that good. Let me know what you think InspectorM®.

Yes, it is delicious. The Uncle Nearest rye is what caused me to take an interest in rye Whiskey. I bought a bottle of Whistlepig 6-year rye last month. It is good, but not as good as the Uncle Nearest IMO.
Salty55® has recommended High West rye, as I recall. That is the next rye on my list to try.

Yes, I mentioned High West Double Rye, for an Old Fashioned. I don't think I've tried it on its own, but at $35/bottle, hard to do wrong.
If you've never tried, give Rabbit Hole Heigold a shot. That one really gets my attention...25% malted rye which smooths down the spiciness. There's a touch of barley as well...overall not as sweet since the corn is tamped down a bit, too. But...it's really easy sipping...almost too easy. Definitely a bit different in quite a good way, IMO.
Cheers!

Thank you for the clarification and recommendation. I have not tried Rabbit Hole Heigold yet, but it is on my list of bourbons to try.

About one hour from now, I'll be pouring myself some Uncle Nearest rye to sip.

I like it because it makes 2k® think he is a great lover not letting facts get in the way.

is Johnnie Walker High Rye (not expensive either)
a very light and mildly spicy scotch; one of those that is a little too easy to drink
great on ice on a warm afternoon/evening
