A current saying I'm not particularly fond of,

22

Jun 27, 2023, 12:49 PM

"it is what it is". Kind of says you are settling? I don't know. Just a thought.

What are some sayings you don't care much for?

Possibly indicative of poor judgement if used indiscriminately (have to ready the room)…but I disagree that it is a sign of low intelligence. Honestly, when I hear someone (man or woman) drop a low-key/subdued f bomb…it’s sort of disarming and endearing.

Yep. The GD phrase is another. I’m not saying I don’t ever use these words but it would be somewhat rare and around people I know won’t be offended. And I don’t tie this to intelligence in any way. It just doesn’t need to be every other word in everyday conversation.

2

Jun 27, 2023, 1:14 PM

I don't like the incorrect expression: "I could care less". It makes no sense. I always said: I couldn't care less", which of course means that I don't care at all. Saying I could care less means that you do care! It is always used as if you don't care! Do you care if I care about this? I really couldn't care less! But then, I did respond, so I must care! So, maybe I really could care less?
