9 point loss to a top 5 team?

Not that I ever like a consolation prize in a loss, but that's probably the closest we've been to a top 5 team in 15-20 years. We have been getting blown out by top teams ever since the last couple of years of Jim Davis. I truly feel like Poppie is the best in-game coach we've had since Jim Davis (coach before him was the only one even close) and he might be the best recruiter as well (although a couple coaches have recruited as well if not better than Davis). I would definitely take the coaching ability of Davis and the recruiting ability of Umoh-Coleman or Butler. We could find ourselves back in competition for Sweet 16 or deeper with that combo.

Not knowing much at all about women coaches in any sport, but I'm assuming that there aren't many women basketball coaches that can compete on the same level with that racist coach in Cootlumbia, am I correct?

As a 24 point dog, we did good keeping it single digits. It wasn't like ND got up big and we made a run. We were in it, and frustrated ND shooters all day. Scrappy. At times I thought we made one or two unnecessary passes. Probably our worst 3pt shooting this year. Credit ND, they're not ranked 3rd for no reason.

Crush the Noles Thursday. No day off in the acc. Go Tigers.

####, thought the Tigers would have a chance without ND’s best player on the floor.

All true CGA, but our girls have to learn to make contested (and in some cases uncontested) lay-ups. Today wasn't the only time that I have seen us miss a bunch. We are also going to have to get a big (or two) that can rebound and be a threat on offense. I like the direction we are going though. It will take time.
