UVa Saturday and Pitt at home will be tough. Wins in those games would tremendously help our RPI as both are top 25. The 3 others at home are very winnable. 2 road games at Wake and Tech, definitely should be right there in those. Realistically, still think we're an NIT team, but getting to 20 wins would be huge for this program in getting things turned around. And if somehow we manage to win 6 of 7 with wins over Pitt and UVa, and get a game in the ACC tourny, we're dancing. This team lacks shooters but plays extremely hard and plays together. Cannot wait to get Grantham and DeVoe on campus and Rooks healthy. These types who can drill the 3 are what we are missing, and with KJ next season this program will really begin to take off. And this staff has milked every thing possible out of this team and deserves a ton of credit!

Striperfan has a very good handle on our situation. I concur that next year we will have a much better offensive team. The key going forward is to bring in a solid point guard. That is a necessity in the 2015 class. Hope we can get Evans,but if not,there should be a backup plan.

Either way, I think Brownell has done great. Remember the 'experts' said we weren't suppose to be here...If we win the games we should and beat UVa and Pitt and lose one I think we dance other than that NIT. Last year ACC sent four teams (which was odd) and Pitt and Syracuse made it. Will have to be in the top 6 in the ACC, with a lot of help.

he is outstanding with the ball in his hands, a gifted ball handler and an excellent passer. These things get kind of lost with his scoring in high school

dont forget rooks. hopefully he will be able to recover from his hip surgery. he would have been a big help this year.

they are also "loseable", which is why we need to get ready for war from here on out. Every game is going to be tough, N.C. State is on a roll right now, they have strung a few wins together. Maryland has been decent all year . Miami is a likely win, but they even went up to FSU and won just like we did. The road games at Wake and GT will be tough....we barely got by those teams at home. Wake has been particularly good at home. And we know how tough Pitt and UVA are.
I think 5-2 would be the "dream scenario" in these last 7 games, not sure which 5 it will be though. 4-3 would be really, really good and perhaps that's a healthy expectation based on what we have seen so far. Maybe we split the road games and then drop 2 of the home games. If we did that, that would be really, really good.
The game against UVA is big for a lot of reasons, but I would think that this team needs some momentum and confidence going down the stretch, and that would be the biggest benefit of all.
