On election days I always seem to have the ability to hop in line at the very longest point. Then, as you make the various twists and turns, and eye the point where you started, there is simply no one there, and I realize I could have stayed home for 30 minutes and waited in line 30 minutes shorter.

also, another one.....
there could be 3 other people besides me in the country's largest Super Wal-Mart and 2 of those 3 people will be in the exact spot in front of the item on the shelf that I came in to get.
Or, if by miracle I am the only customer in the entire store, the stock boy has set up his 2-story high inventory in the spot I just described.

over time is the world works much like I do, and vice versa. So, whenever I get the time to go vote, or go to the grocery store, or go to Lowes, or go to the DMV, or WHATEVER......it's usually the same time that everyone else in Lexington gets the time to go to the store, Lowes, DMV, etc.
Just the way life works. If I walk in a store that's not crowded, I'm not normal, because I'm in that store when I (and everyone) else should be elsewhere.

You are driving home from work and stop at Publix for some supper to cook on the grill. You and the 30,000 other Capinonians who commute back home every evening have the same idea.
Of course my zip code in Lexington has over 60,000 people, which aggravates the issue exponentially. Plus the Publix in Chapin, and about every other one around, is bigger than the one closest to me, which is also the most crowded.

If I had waited a little bit it probably would have taken me 30.
It took every early voter here that I know at least an hour and 15 minutes to vote. I’ll likely never vote early unless those numbers flip.
