4 in the 1st round?

It's really something to see just how much talent Clemson has now. It's a real possibility we will see four if our guys in the first round of the draft. Next year we will likely see another 3-5. That's U 2001 status.
So far, it seems like Dood, Lawson, Mac, and Green might go in the first round. MA needs to run well at the pro day, but his stats speak for him well enough. Jayron will need to shave at least a tenth off to go in the top 3 rounds IMO.

I still can't get over the fact that Shaq Lawson is 60lbs heavier and 4" shorter than Kearse but their vertical was only a 1.5" and their broad jump was only a 4" difference!

This is true but Shaq is a freak of an athlete. I still maintain Kearse had a mid season injury that is still nagging him. Was more surprised at his low vertical vs his 40. Either way I think he has some sort of injury. Dude was two different players 1st half of season vs 2nd half of season.
I don't buy that he was playing not to get hurt. If this was the case, Brent V would've pulled him.

If Kearse does in fact have a nagging injury, this would have been the time to declare such a thing though, to cushion some of the numbers being off. How does he benefit from keeping it to himself? Obviously when you're heading into the playoffs with tough games coming up, you keep it a secret so the opposition doesn't exploit your injury. But when you're being looked at under a microscope at the combine? It would be foolish for him not to have mentioned such a thing, at least in my opinion. Dude ran a 4.42 40 just 8 months ago and with 10 more pounds on him... I know the 40 times can be messy at the combine with the partial-electronic timing method but 4.64 was a surprise for everyone, especially considering he'd slimmed down some since the end of the season.

Mack, Lawson, and MAYBE Dodd. BUT....

Kearse is the only other first round potential, and his biggest issue is himself. All scouts have said the same thing...his effort lacks.
TJ has shown an issue with open field tackling. He's credit with 17 missed or broken tackles just this year (per nfl.com).

Green is likely a Day 3 prospect. Alexander, Dodd, and Lawson are all very realistic 1st rounders. Jayron Kearse is on the outside looking in right now.
