Technically a TO on downs doesn’t count as an extra possession. Clemson would have gotten the ball anyway if they punted. What they did get though is better field position.

I was at the game we had 3 picks and a fumble recovery. Im confused as to why the stat line is only showing 3 TOs?

Where was the fumble recovery? If you are talking about the first drive by Stanford that fumble was on fourth down and was recovered by Stanford but they failed to make the first down so Clemson got the ball. So no fumble turnover.

Their Qb fumbled it and we recovered. It was earlier in the game. Not exactly sure .

Didn’t happen that way. It was fourth down and Stanford QB fumbled but Stanford recovered the ball. However it was short of the first down so Clemson got the ball.
