2024 tigers

Ok folks who recruit wise should we watch out for that might get drafted high? Who do y’all think returns? I’m sure some guys won’t be happy with playing time and we will get some portal guys. A lot could return in reality. It gives me hope with a lot of returners. We could easily have had a lot of returners in the past but guys wanted out and I don’t blame them. Don’t seem like we were having a lot with experience like other teams. Now I believe we can! Thoughts?

And I wouldn't be surprised to see Wright bolt if he is drafted. A lot of people forget he was in the top100 of draft eligible players at the start of the year. But other than that I know Bertram and Blackwell will be gone. If all that happens then we will be replacing almost our entire infield. Cannarella will likely move back to his natural position (shortstop) and Taylor will likely move to center. Then probably hall and crighton in the corners.

But we also have a REALLY strong recruiting class coming in this year. So a lot can change between now and then

Honest question, does anyone think Wright improved his draft stock this year? I realize it is only one year, but I certainly didn't see anything there that screamed "Future Major Leaguer". He wasn't even in the Top 5 on our own team, IMHO. (Taylor, Grice, Ingle, Amick, Cannarella all ahead of him.)

Jay Dill, Gavin Abrams, and Hogan Garner are already in the transfer portal. I would assume a couple more will also find their way there way to the portal considering the season only ended yesterday.

Dillon Head and Sammy Stafura are the top recruits in the class that have a chance to be drafted. I've seen mock drafts recently with both guys selected in top 1-2 rounds. Head is a top tier athlete. Stafura has made a strong rise up the draft boards this spring. My hunch is neither will make it to campus but I would love to be wrong.

Head and Stafura are our top 2 recruits and unfortunately I just dont think there is anyway either of them make it to campus. Head is gonna be getting 4+ million thrown at him and Stafura will likely see a big second-third round bonus as well. Would love to be wrong, but we do have a few other guys coming in that are highly touted.(Leguerninc and Purify both have highest possible rating on PG)

most likely true but remember people said Taylor and smith wouldn’t make it here either…
