“The holdup, of course, centered on negotiations with the 110 Society, and it sounds like the collective was able to meet everyone’s demands.”
Not sure how to interpret this. How are these “negotiations” taken place..players and family, player advisors, or some kind of agent. Demands seems like they strong armed Clemson into paying them what they want or they were gone. Also I figured the kids were payed during the football season not necessarily during the off season.

Based on our 2025 signing class and the number of star players we lose after the 2025 season, we will begin paying the next group of commits or else become a middle of the pack team.

I hate to say it but there are a lot of teams headed in that direction. Plenty of schools out there that will not or I will rephrase and say cannot put the kind of money up needed to compete with folks talking 60 mill a year NIL budgets.

We are closer to being middle of the pack than most realize, just look at the number of 3 star players we have taken in the past 5 years!!!

Just glad we finally seem to be open to and making an effort to retain AND OBTAIN from all talent streams available. That’s a big piece of the puzzle to get back to elite.

Watch the movie Jerry Maguire for an entertaining primer on negotiations.

…. No matter how much I discover about how things work, it doesn’t change the fact that I can do nothing to change it. So I’m just going to stop looking for answers and just enjoy football. My son and I watch Ivy League if nothing else is on. We watch NFL. We simply love football. Why ruin it with looking behind the curtain or seeing how the sausage is made. I no longer care. Just spot the ball!!!
