Crap, I lost it being one day late with the moola. I did not know payment was due. I use PayPal here. I don't like PP, but it is handy some places.
With no warning I see my avatar block is back like the coots and people who choose not to send money to Tnet.
Should I send $$ ?

1. Nothing in life is free and the site is worth my support.
2. I remember feeling like a moocher when I wasn't paying. Don't want to feel that way again.
Then there is the bonus of subscribers only dinners at D. Hood's house that are always fun.

I always enjoy your poasts, Tug.
I pay the premium membership because this is my only social media outlet and source of Clemson news, celebrity deaths, investment tips and scams, recipe ideas, political discourse, vacation planners, and sometimes photos of scantily-clad "somebody's daughters."
Now that I have read my list, I wonder why I am ponying up, too. Still waiting on the steak knives.

Currently off. Non-renewed when the subscription went from $30/year to $50. Wish there was a lifetime option. Not sure what my life expectancy is, but I would probably pay a few hundred one time and trust myself not to get banned.
I never made polls and rarely participated in “donors only” activity. I happily paid when the site was mostly about Clemson athletics, but in recent years this place has lost civility and been somewhat taken over by people who post mostly foolishness. SCOKs, etc annoying. I wish it were not anonymous.
Despite all this, I will probably be a donor again someday. B-Meist has always been very helpful when I have my “old guy” moments.

I don't believe there is a rule against folks who "hate Clemson" being a member, nor should there be.
There are scock rules that are obviously rarely enforced.

I have no issue with haters being here…I just don’t like the anonymity. But I guess that is just how message boards are. And I suppose that other “social media” sites are riddled with false identities, too, but I don’t pay for those, either.
I am at least glad that this site allows non-donors…hopefully that doesn’t change.

1

1) No Ads. This is a big one. I get bombarded by enough ads elsewhere on the interwebs.
2) Access to Donor Boards. SOMETIMES, the Donor Boards are a little more sensible than the Mange.
3) Ability to edit posts. Invariably when I type, either by my keyboard screwing up, or me hitting the wrong keys, words get misspelled, etc. Having the edit feature available to correct it makes me feel better about things.
4) Ability to TU or TD posts. I give TUs frequently, TDs only when someone has either personally attacked someone, or spewed forth something that is so ridiculous, it has to be pointed out. The MODS give a reward for ten TUs on a given post for "Quality Content". I wish they would come up with some demerits for NON-Quality Content, posts that accumulate 10 or more TDs. There have been some.
5) I like the site, and figure it takes money to keep it up and running. I am not averse to doing my small part via being a paid member to make that possible. I also like seeing the little "ARRRR" next to my handle.
