None of this is happening.
Saban is not going to Texas. Dabo is not going to Alabama.
Morris is not going to Bowling Green.
Boise State? Could be an option, but are they going to pay him like Clemson pays him. No clue.

Saban is not going anywhere. If he did, they will hire a coach who runs a traditional offense. They do not have the personnel for the spread, and I do not see them wasting a couple of years transitioning to it.

Honestly, no chance. Dabo doesn't have much of a career thus far. Yeah, he has won quite a few big games and has had 10 win seasons, but it takes a career over many years before you're asked to take over a program like that. If this was 2025 and Dabo had a national title or 4-5 conference titles and some big bowl wins then he would be a legit option. But he was still a WR coach 5 years ago. Not trying to sound like ####, just saying what I think. I don't think we have to worry just yet.

Bama has made some interesting hires in the past. I know that on the national boards a lot of bama fans have discussed dabo as a possibility in the future. Imagine the recruiting classes he could pull at bama and they would pay top notch for coordinators.
That being said, it would be a huge gamble for both parties. Bama has too much going to risk taking a step back. Of course, if you lose nick saban then where do you go for an upgrade? For dabo, does he really want to follow saban? Talk about a short leash.
I doubt it happens but wouldn't be surprised if he is on a list of candidates.

I definitely understand what you're saying. He would probably be on the list, it just comes down to "is that who Alabama wants" and "does Dabo want the job?" I think if Saban leaves Kirby Smart would be promoted. I understand your reasoning though. Dabo is very well respected as a recruiter nationally and could succeed with Alabama hiring good coordinators underneath him like you said. I just think they will be extra careful with who they hire if Saban does leave. We are talking about possibly the arguably greatest dynasty in decades and the fans will not be too kind to whichever coach ends that little run in the future.

You don't have to worry about anyone calling Dabo until Morris leave and he proves he can win without Chad.
