You saw growing up, or just favorite horror movies

Two I can think of mind as far as favorite probably 1982 version of The Thing with Kurt Russell. More than just a horror movie. Paranoia on who is who or not. Very creepy and great effects.

The scariest was It's Alive. My parent took me to see that at the drive-In. A killer mutant baby looking for it's parents. Again so creepy and a cult classic.

I have not watched a lot of scary movies in my lifetime to be honest. Neither one of the ones you mentioned ring a bell. Last scary movie I seen I’m guessing was “IT”, and I’m not even sure that would qualify. More strange than anything.

I'm startled by something in a movie.

Two that I like are 30 Days Of Night and Insidious.

There's a scene in Insidious where you're looking from one one side of the boy's bedroom. He walks in and laid in the bed facing the camera. On the far wall beyond him is an armoire. After a couple seconds, the top part of the armoire morphs and it's some type of little demon who is after the boy. Still freaks me out.

I put my armoire in the garage after that.

Our legend of a head coach forgot how to coach and left DJU in the game even though it was among the worst outings statistically in the history of the sport, at any level, during any era. It was putrid showing and that is being kind. I am feeling the tension and disdain for that loss even as I type this, the terrors will be back again tonight I am sure of it.

Yes, it was a horror film, but on the football field.

I love horror movies but it also depends on what kind of horror you’re going for..

In terms of just scare your pants off horror, ‘The Witch’ is a really good pure horror movie.

If you’re looking for more of the gore horror, I love anything Rob Zombie, especially the ‘Devils Trilogy’ and his Halloween movies are probably my favorites in that franchise.

I was 6 y/o at the time. I was avoiding anything, trees, buildings or cars which I thought might be hiding a wolfman behind it.

My Granddaddy saw my distress and rescued me for the time being. He told me he was the wolfman and that he would never hurt me. He had the suit in his bedroom which was absolutely off limits to everyone but my grandmother.

I continued my fear of the wolf man sometime afterword but when I was 12 I decided if something jumped out from behind a tree or building I would whup its azs. I stopped being afraid until I read the Shinning some two decades later.

It was 3 months before the evil in that book wore off. The movie is entertainment, the book is sheer evil. I'd never seen evil captured and examined before. I do not recommend reading that book.

However, it is the only one I had to stop watching at one point. It is a spelunking movie. And, at one point, one of the spelunkers gets stuck in a crawl space. It caused me to have a panic attack since I suffer from claustrophobia.

Otherwise, watching Joker, I felt uncomfortable the entire movie.

As for horror, the ones that caused me to lose sleep were The Amityville Horror, Jaws, and The Blair Witch Project. The thing that scares me most in horror movies is not seeing the antagonist.

Another good one…Misery. I will never get over the sledgehammer scene.
