Tyshon Dye looks like he's back in tip top FB shape....

Jul 11, 2015, 3:10 PM

From the looks of this video(below), Tyshon Dye has dropped the weight and looks to be in the shape he was in before he was injured. This kid is going to be a monster for us this season!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think Dye will end up being the starter before the season is over. Nothing against Gallman but I think with the power Dye runs with, once we get in those late game situations he will start wearing those defenses down.

it is going to be pretty hard to wrestle that job away from Gallman, but if he does, we are in good shape.

Yea, I think Gallman really came into his own towards the end of the season He's very talented physically, which he showed throughout the year, but at the end of the season he started playing smarter, which is very important.

Two years ago, I assumed Dye would be "the guy" for Clemson for his entire tenure...but he's had problems with injuries so I need to see him play a bit more before I can start thinking he's going to wrestle the starting job away from Gallman.

I like Adam choice as the starter at rb the kid is a beast.

I think they gone end up letting Choice sit this year and rehab that knee

I almost forgot about choice, he reminds me a lot of Reggie Merriweather, not going to kill you with speed but is almost good for 4-6 every time he touches the ball.

Choice probably takes a medical redshirt this year.

I could see it happening

but realistically we are probably spliting carries between Gallman, Brooks, Dye, Davidson, and Fuller somewhere in the 40-25-20-10-5 respectively range. Some one is going to transfer after this season or possibly change positions with Choice becoming healthy and Feaster will crack the 2 deep at least once he's on campus.

Then play him at the end of games and let Gallman tire them out at the beginning.

He may start, but he'll earn it.

Hopefully we will enjoy the depth at runningback and who starts really doesn't matter.

It also looks like we will be sporting new ACC patches on the jerseys. I think I like last years better, this new one looks similar to the #4 Steve Fuller patch that DeShaun wears. Thoughts?

military_donation.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Lot of good running backs and I think they would like that..

Jul 11, 2015, 4:28 PM

Save wear and tear, and they can be ready and not beat up for the NFL try-outs! No need to transfer if they get their share of carries...Marcus is good example of running back used too much in college!

Yep, scar killed any chance Lattimore had at a career

Jul 11, 2015, 4:45 PM

He would have made tens of millions, but instead he has a 5th place ring.

And that is why a good running back likes several other good

ones, so they are fresher for pro workouts!

Looks like that's Brooks now wearing 22. Brooks has finally eclipsed that elusive 200lb

Jul 11, 2015, 5:28 PM

Weight goal, however. Thickened up a lot. But Dye will be playing around the 220-230 mark.

Dye is wearing #22 (his high school number) not Brooks

Geez.. looks like you're right taking a 2nd look. Kid looks ready to bust skulls.***

Gallman will be the man, with everybody else splitting

Jul 11, 2015, 6:04 PM

the rest of the carries early. By mid-season, I expect a rotation to be established in which Gallman and Dye split the bulk of the carries about equally, with Fuller emerging as the 3rd RB. Choice could redshirt. I think Brooks will be rusty and just be lost in the shuffle. Davidson could be the wild card, as he looked great in the spring game, but my gut tells me his carries will diminish as the season progresses until he too gets only mop-up duty.

Of course it will probably work out nothing like that at all, but that's my best guess at this point.

You guys are all nuts. Our OL is gonna stink without Battle (or so Ive heard).

badge-donor-05yr.jpgmilitary_donation.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

RB is the least of worries

Jul 11, 2015, 9:37 PM

Plenty of good options. I’m fine with any
Fuller could be a pleasant surprise. Thick & fast

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

There's a reason he is being showcased

Jul 11, 2015, 9:42 PM

Maybe starter for the season? Dabo learned last year with Watson that you need to play the best.

Dye looked awesome. I asked about other backs and he repeated that Dye looked really good.
