I truly hate it for this young man. Here is a bit of an update from those who care to know:

I can't help but wonder if our current staff would be content to watch him go and wash their hands of it all. I strongly think not. I hope the "once a tiger, always a tiger" mentality will count regardless of circumstance.

He had little choice, unfortunately. He was desperate and he went where he could go with Famarr in tow. We love to take the high road in oversigning, but Ray Ray was summarily dismissed by Tommy B to make room. Dabo has made nice with JD as much as he can, but so much team loyalty was eroded by the previous regime treating good folks like Ray Ray as they did.

Why are you bringing up a 4 year old article? Bowden provided Ray Ray with a full means of support to stay at Clemson and continue his graduate degree via an paid GA position. Ray Ray left because he wanted to play football.

End of story.
