Oh yeah, makes me want to watch a football game for sure.

Because they have not donated one penny to any black people and it all goes to the democratic party fund. Also they don't care about black lives of kids or people in neighborhoods that are getting shot. Lastly it is a communist organization that wants to do away with law and order so they can burn loot and murder without resistance. Any more questions?

When you say "some people"...are you talking about some people that are looting, burning buildings and shooting fireworks at police while trying to blind them with lasers?
Or are you talking about some people that don't want to change the uniform of their favorite team?

But let's start with you explaining what you think the organization "black lives matter" stands for. Putting this dumb stuff on football helmets promtes the organization. Its like an advertisement, and I'm sure BLM is laughing as they collect profits from this ridiculous free advertising. So again, you support the advertising, so please describe in your own words what this "company" stands for and what they're selling.
Obviously you think there is a problem in the country and that people don't think black lives matter. So,
1. What are these issues? 2? What are uour firsthand experience with these issues? 3. What do you propose we (America) need to do to gix these "issues"?

[ in reply to Re: "Black Lives Matter" throws some people into a RAGE! ] |

Just that black lives matter? To throw this around as a statement is to act as if black lives don't currently matter. Which is bull ####.
If I made a national spectacle out of a few incidents involving police officers and white people, then could I pander to the NFL and sports teams to put white lives matter on a helmet? Take any race and you can find alleged "injustice" - so does each race get a helmet with their race on it? Can each race paint MY RACE MATTERS on streets in America?
Or would this be seen as racist rhetoric? No need to answer. The answer is as plain as day, yet too many suckers are failing to see it.
Black people are not oppressed. They are not systemically held down. There is no injustice in law or any walk of life against any race. To say so amounts to either sheer ignorance, victim mentality and blaming others for our positions, or flat out racism... like the board racist mouthpiece HBROWN is allowed to spew here on a regular basis. He says stuff like white people do bad things to black people. Like there is a system in place to hold black men down. Like blacks are oppressed and whites are privileged, like they don't have to work just as hard in life to achieve their potential.
It's bull ####. All of it. And it has no place on this board - even if on a separate page, as if it's not a public forum on those pages. HBROWN spews openly racist views, misinformation, and outright lies. So why are people of race X not allowed to this in America? BECAUSE IT'S RACIST. That's why.
People need to wake the heck up. This "movement" and certainly the organization is poison to our society. It's teaching our kids that it really does exist. Like black lives don't currently matter in America? Gimme a break.

How many court cases for rape are waiting in court for our president? 26?
Sep 11, 2020, 2:44 PM
|
|
If any of them prove true. I’m guessing 1 of the 26 may be. Should he be in the same category as so called rapists as Jacob Blake? Think y’all. None of those crimes is is worthy of being shot on the street. Just like president trump, he deserves a day in court before he is penalized or judged as not needing our care, protection and attention under the law. We are shielding the president from 26 accusations of rape right now. I know. I know- the liberals are behind all 26 accusations. I know- the Russian probe was wrong so the 26 accusations are wrong. Fire away.

Blake’s intentions and actions didn’t put officers in danger? I’d love to know what you would have done in the officers’ shoes. He wasn’t shot because of his crime/s... He was shot for threatening the lives of the officers that were forced to deal with his criminal behavior.

Why would a black athlete be "defiant towards the USA" in the 1960s? The NERVE of them. Their act, according to a participant:
"was a cry for freedom and for human rights. We had to be seen because we couldn't be heard."
I can assure you these kids understand exactly what was going on. And they also understand that we can improve upon the progress made over the last 50 years.

The clenched fist has been a Communist/Marxist symbol since
Sep 11, 2020, 1:00 PM
|
|
the beginning of that evil ideology. It goes as far back as the First (Communist) International in 1864. During the Russian revolution, the Bolsheviks used the clench fist as the "Red Salute" and in 1926 the German Communists (RFD) proudly displayed their clinched fist pendants and emblems as well as the hand salute.
In the USA, just about every Communist and Socialist organization since 1900 has used the clinched fist as a symbol within their organization - most commonly to represent their desire for revolution. Everyone from the Socialist Democratic Federation of America to the Communist Party USA to the Progressive Labor Party have used the Marxist clinched fist and recognize it as a universal symbol of Marxism.
In the 1960's the Black Liberation and Black Panther movements (both of which are Marxist/Communist organizations) use the black clinched fist as a symbol of their "struggle". The BLM founders (all of whom are admitted Marxists), adopted the black clinched fist symbol which is nothing more than a nod to their Marxist idols and fellow travelers.
It is one thing to refer to Black Lives Matter in the context that Black Human lives matter (of course they do) but it is a completely different matter to say that one supports the Marxist BLM organization. Wittingly or not, by putting this clinched fist on their helmet, Wake Forest is sending the message they support the Marxist BLM organization which, like all Marxist ideological driven organizations, derives their power from dividing people through hatred and envy.
I certainly hope Clemson's message (if they have one) will be from a place of love and unity and not the hate and division of Marxism and their organizational adherents. But if Clemson puts Marxist symbols anywhere on their uniforms, then Clemson will have seen the last dime they will ever get from me.

So the founding fathers were not Marxist but they were white supremacist and racist who didn’t consider black people equal. But you will excuse it away- right? Should I not go to the Thomas Jefferson monument because of his sinful, broken and stupid view on people my color? They demeaned people for economic gain and then later a whole group of them seceded to keep that way of life alive- economically; which meant slavery would go on until it was no longer economically necessary. If I had a hypothetical choice Would I rather be a Marxist and be free or be in a democracy and be seen as not equal. Easy choice. Some folks still don’t feel free in and by this dispensation of democracy. Some would rather be equal under Marxist methods than mistreated under this kind of democracy. Not saying it will be true or Marxism is right. Please don’t go after that. I am just speaking to the hypocrisy of being angry about the founders and foundation of BLM when our very own country was built on sinful and unbiblical view of humankind. We can get mad at BLM for going after the nuclear family but our own founders of this country did not think the same for blacks when they were split up as families and sold off and even breeded. So don’t act self righeous!!! Show some empathy in how things get started.

But I was pointing out the shaky beliefs of the founders just like the founders of BLM are being criticized- we could just as easily pointed to some critical flaws in their saying all men are created equal when they didn’t actually include people like me in that. My point exactly- it turned out better than what they had and were able to imagine- why couldn’t BLM be the same way?

Many Americans not just black ones agree that more can be done to help black Americans thrive in their own country. See Trevor Lawrence who wants it but is not part of the 12% for example. Better Black American participation and joy in the American dream and experience would be good to and for 100% of the population- right? This is not an attack on white America or America but on whiteness and white privilege and structures that might propagate those things. If you are not a part of making sure whiteness is standard or harming blacks and others opportunity to feel loved and prosperous here then this should feel good to you. So, more than 12%

a slave or personally know a slave in order to be able to point out the hypocrisy of those that seem to get so triggered about the concept of improving racial equity. Got it.
I can assure you MOST people DO personally know people that have been downright discriminated against because of the color of their skin. People that have been treated differently. People that have been denied certain rights or opportunities. And yes let me add the obligatory it happens to all races. It really does. Don't know anyone? It may be that you don't associate with minorities. It more likely means they haven't felt comfortable telling you about their experiences, and if that's the case you should ask YOURSELF why.
I mean, what's so wrong with acknowledging that our fellow humans of black skin color deal with different things than others at times? What's so wrong with having empathy and support for that?
Are you a man of prayer? Ever pray for someone? Did that mean that you want everyone else on earth to go to hell?
I agree America is the greatest country hands down not even close. I also believe we can continue to grow and improve.
To deny there are issues, simply read this board. It's a great start.

I just ate lunch with my brother from another mother who happens to be a soul brotha . He said that the dude who made the post I replied to was a race baiter . You see he is 45 and was raised to love God, respect people, obey the law and work hard. His whole family mothers side and fathers are all pretty successful. They have lived great life’s just being the good people that they are. You see the Key is being a good person doesn’t matter what color. NOT ANYMORE!

that things need to change for black people. You found one, I found one. JK about having lunch with trevor.. But come on with the tired ole- "my one or two black friends" stuff. I am a pastor of church with about 300+ white friends who would disagree with you and your one black friend. Thats what makes the whole 1776 group so laughable... you find one or two blacks to support your view when black folks know 100's who support theirs. It just tells me that you don't really know that many black people. You don't live among many of us, worship with us being a critical mass in your church, or fellowship with us over these issues. I am sick and tired of the I got a black friend, or I know a black guy, or the twins over at 1776 say. That is straight racist!

for yourself and others are are blind.
Name 5 things in America that are unfair to blacks or any other race. Then name 5 proposed solutions You can't do it. You just want to play a false victim card because of things that happened in this country decades or hundreds of years ago. It's 2020 - everyone is just as equal and the same freedom and opportunities as the next. If a black or white man ends up incarcerated - who's fault is it? His or his choices in life?
And yet again, that little "ha" comment just goes to show an very big lack of character on your part. You are an open racist, exhibiting what amounts to nothing more than "black privilege". You're a fraud pal.
I will not "save it" until you do, jerk.

In joining the cause- read their beliefs carefully. They don’t want the nuclear family to be the goal of their organization which is made up of a number of people from broken homes. So many people are invalidated if they are single mothers or lead single family homes as needing to fix their family before they can speak to other issues. They don’t want that to be a disqualifier or point of condemnation for those who don’t and won’t have nuclear families. Get it? Disrupt is the word they use. String word- I know. But in context it means they want to stop the oppression of non-nuclear families as being less than those who have one. A single mom should be accepted and heard and lead without a husband or father in the home as anyone else. I am not saying I am not for the nuclear family but I for and respect people who are not in one and want to stop the condemnation and silencing of those who don’t have the traditional family setup. Get it?

I don’t think single mother families are oppressed or not accepted by today's society. They are just set up for economic struggles or failure. The reality is that this is one of the major true culprits for unequal outcomes - its simply an economic reality. To advocate for this lifestyle via a culturally destructive group like BLM or via government incentives is morally wrong and should not be put on a pedestal as something wonderful, even if its under the guise of an unarguable inoculate tag line.
In general, I think most of the disagreement we are seeing would be shelved if those pushing for improvements would simply disavow this hate group. I think being a little more specific in general about what they would like to see improved would help clarify intentions instead of speaking in such vague platitudes.

If there is a single mother who wants to be in leadership in an organization that believes it is challenging white surpremacy in america, one of the immediate challenges to her voice and a large population like her or him.. will be "fix your family situation." They are saying that this woman and her family setup, whether it is a "lifestyle" choice or life situation that happened (praise God she kept her babies, right?)-she can be a valued part of the movement.
The non-nuclear family has advocacy in and by BLM and not just criticism and trying to "fix" them so they can be more acceptable to white american (mainly christian) culture. They no longer have to live up to a"standard" that has been used against them. I can't tell you how many times I've heard black voices muted, with a comment about how it's not racism, it's all these "fatherless" chlldren. BLM rejects that as a precursor to speaking truth to power.
Now of course I know and see the benefits of being in a nuclear family. I highly recommend and commend it... but I understand why they are saying what they are saying to strengthen the civil rights goals of their particular organization.

You just don’t get it and never will. Slavery is done with. It’s called progress, enlightenment, evolution, etc. We didn’t get this far in society because everyone’s ideology is still rooted in how the country was founded, man. You come off as if black people are the only ones supporting equality. It’s so myopic, but here you are breathing fire and brimstone on all us non-progressive bigot whites, again. Normal people don’t support slavery or racism so your argument is as hollow as your attempt to rationalize BLM’s terroristic behavior.

BLM founding person and their beliefs are not completely and finally indicative of what it is intended to accomplish and what it will bring for America’s good just like we don’t harp on the inconsistencies of the founding fathers view on humanity anymore. If they could still be right after having some things wrong- then why can BLM?

No, I countered your argument in that you are comparing an ideology from over 100 years ago to another organization’s behavior today as if society has not progressed significantly in that period of time. By your assertion, it’s ok for BLM to conduct themselves the way they do because the founders of our nation were racist. Seriously?

I'll let that go. I am simply saying that founding member personal ideals are not always indicative of the final product; unless you want to join me in believing that what the founding fathers put in the "foundational mix" is continuing to cause great institutional damage to our country. ahhh... so if we are afraid that the founding beliefs of BLM will cause continued issues for our country if they are accepted, then what did what was accepted as foundational in starting this nation doing now? You can't have it both ways unless you beleive one group of people are superiror to the other in their blind spots, in their affirmations, in their values.

I guess that’s the difference in what we find relevant in the context. I’m not really invested in a better BLM so much as I care about race relations. The here and now have not put them in a positive light with their affiliations and political agendas. Why should I hope for a better BLM than simply support those that believe in doing things the right way now?

Look Don Quijote, I have convictions and beliefs that rise far above a dearly beloved sports and academic venue. When challenged to pick a side with the freedom and what the flag stands for and what I had served faithfully for almost 12 years under as a commissioned reservist then it's fairly clear. I have other reasons as well but its best for another day.
The oath of the other groups and where their proceeds are going vs. helping those truly in need is counter intuitive and don't measure up or deserve my time when you understand the crux of their existence. If you don't value my opinion then I don't care but I will express it for those that maybe feel the same and sit back in the shadows.

Just remember that freedom is a broad term, and the good news is that we are as we should be free to express our opinions, and that includes football players.

We are free as long as it doesn't incite violence and hate. I am curious how you feel if they came out wearing a KKK or Kyle Rittenhouse shirt. Those two organizations incite violence and hate and will empty a stadium quicker than the president and AD can imagine. With WF not having any fans in attendance then maybe its not so bad. Try to carry that over to 2021. I think it is a globalist/marxist front to create chaos prior to an election. It comes up every 2-4 years and many fall prey to it.

......the Wake helmet for this game/year is not among the top 25 for sure. I've seen helmets with chickens on them and even those don't make the top 25 worst looking helmet list.

How far will this cluelessness go? Maybe the media needs to start covering more white people getting? All this crap, based on grossly exaggerated and even imagined bs, needs to stay the heck outta sports!
