Why is it when a person has one black parent and one white parent they are called a black person when actually they are just as much white as black.
Here are some high profile examples
Mariah carey
Megan markle
Patrick mahomes
Steph curry
Media refers to them as being black. That is the media being racists in itself.
I suppose “person of color” or “mixed race” would be more accurate but it they are seldom referred to as such.
Just curious.

I give him tons of credit for that.
I think almost all people given a choice, choose to identify with the race/ethnicity that is most beneficial and advantageous to them. That's the most logical thing to do.
