Texas Longhorns starting quarterback Quinn Ewers is week-to-week with an oblique strain and an abdominal strain. This comes after he spoke with doctors on Sunday.

I hope all soon becomes well as I like to watch him play.

With their Manning backup, he should be able to sit out for a game or two.

I certainly believe that Manning will be a good QB.
I am not sold on the hype.
It is unlikely he will be an Ewers, but I hope so.

Manning looked ok yesterday but has almost no college pt experience. A DC on a good team could give him fits.

Texas has home games against Monroe and then Miss State, then a bye.

We may not see Ewers for a month when the 'Horns are at Oklahoma.
