Did any of the elite, top 10-15 prospects seriously consider Clemson?

Did any of the top 4-5 QBs (ie, the DW or TL of the 2025 class) consider Clemson?

I know none of them signed with us but were we ever in the mix?

I think it was Mccintyre who went to Tennessee that we went heavy after. I could be wrong tho

We were in the mix for a few top 30ish type players but we never seemed to have any chance at all with any of the major QB recruits this year. Whether that's because of Cade or a lack of $$$ is anyone's guess. Prior to this season I could definitely understand a QB being hesitant based on our last few years of offensive struggles, but we've had a top 10 type offense this season and, as far as we can tell, it's done nothing to increase interest among elite QB recruits in the next couple of classes either so it may just be that we lack the cash to even make it into the discussion with these guys. Cade may end up as our last truly elite QB signee.

We were #5 when the wheels started falling off, look at who we lost, enough said! We most likely would’ve finished with the top DLine class in the country. Money changed all that.

IMO, money wasn't the problem...the problem was a head coach refusing to pay what the kids were worth to other teams. We have the money to play the game, but choose not to.

How would anyone know what a player is paid through NIL, that is private information.
But as a team I do not think Clemson can pay $20 million a year for football.
