Question regarding scheduling

With all of the talk about strength of schedule by the talking heads it got me to thinking. If you as a fan could choose any other non-conference football program in the country for our Tigers to play who would it be? I used the criteria of one, they can't be one of our recent years' opponents (i.e. Notre Dame, Georgia, Iowa State, etc.), and two, size of the school or distance does not matter. I chose five schools and gave my reasons. Feel free to give me your list.
1 - Any military academy (specifically Army, Navy, and Air Force). We wear purple for the military appreciation game so why not host one of the service academies that day?
2 - App State. The closeness of the two schools would mean fans could easily travel. Plus, Boone reminds me a lot of Clemson and their fans are awesome.
3 - Maryland. Revive an old ACC rivalry.
4 - LSU. Would love to pit the real Death Valley verses the wanna bes.
5 - North Dakota State. A trip to the Fargo Dome would make for a awesome road trip. Plus, the Bison have been among the best programs in FCS. Would like to see how we stack up against them.

Clemson would not play an away game in a 24,000 seat Dome.

I’d replace Maryland and LSU with teams that hold a one or two win all time advantage over us like Baylor, Cal, Marshall, Minn, etc
Oh and Vandy, we’re 1-3 vs them all time. That needs to be rectified asap

The service academies I really like. We’ve played App State not long ago... I think! That would be a great trip for me. I live thirty minutes away. , I’d like to see the Tigers play teams from the west SMU, TCU, Houston, Memphis, Colorado .....

Only LSU seems to be an interesting matchup...

The service academies haven't meant much since the 50s. App St is an upset in the making with no positive for beating. Maryland? Yawn. NDSU? Clemson should never travel there...
Here's my top 5 for a home and home...
1. Tennessee
2. Florida
3. Texas
4. USC
5. Michigan

1. That wouldn’t be very patriotic to beat up on a service academy during Military Appreciation Day
2. We already travel to a few NC schools regularly
3. Yuck! Who wants to go anywhere near Baltimore?
4. Don’t we already have a home and home scheduled?
5. Not a recruiting hotbed.

In 2024 we have Georgia and App state, 2025 we have LSU in 2026 we go to LSU. I would love to add a big 10 or big 12 team for a home and home

With the playoffs expanding i don't really see the need to play big time ooc games in the traditional sense. UGa I would like to see us play more often. Coastal would be fun although scary as well. I think I would rather see regional teams and play the biggies in the playoffs I think.
