Now that college is more like the Pros, is it possible for colleges to sign athletes to a contract?
That would go a long way as to restoring some order.

They typically are for a maximum of one year at a time. In the case of football, most are for one semester at a time.

There is order. The kind supported by federal law and federal courts decisions.

It's just not the kind of "order" and organized under the table pay that used to exist.
