Sorry if I missed this but haven’t seen anything.
I almost drove down for the men’s basketball game last night but decided I’d just wait for the reg season.

I haven’t seen anything about how the guys did - anyone know or attend?

Hope this helps

The consensus from folks who were there is we have a chance to have a heck of a team but need more time to gel before determining our ceiling

My opinions will probably change with an upgrade in competition but here are some early impressions. Full disclosure, I am a season ticket holder for football and basketball and want all Clemson sports to succeed. Some here would call me a sunshine pumper. I guess I am, but also realistic about our performance over the past 4 decades.

* I love the pressure our guards put on the ball. Welcome to Clemson, J. Zackery. Freshman D. Jones seemed comfortable pressuring as well. We know what the Hunters can do. J. Heidbreder seemed solid on D - at least better than Joe G or Alex H. I am concerned about our rim protectors when they need help on drives to the basket. PJ erased a lot of shots. Don't see that happening this year.

* We will need to shoot the ball well from the outside. We will need midrange game of Wiggins to develop and Chase to continue his outstanding performances from last March. We were much bigger than Augusta (understatement), but post game did not look great. Lakhin showed some flash, but don't see him doing too much work against big, strong post defenders. He did make several nice passes. While he played much better in the 2nd half, C. Reeves looks like a project player this season. Our post people are wider bodies that will physically match up better with big teams.

* We substituted freely and no group played together for an extended stretch. Hard to tell who will be our top subs off the bench. Starters were Lakhin, Chef, Wiggins, C Hunter, and Zackery. I see Wiggins as being a huge key to this team. We know what Schef and Chase will bring. Zackery is a gamer who I am delighted is on our team. Big guys will hopefully develop and at least be solid. We need Chauncey to step up on both ends of the floor. We need him to be attacking on offense and not just standing at the 3 pt line. We need him to be more of a stopper and rebounder on D.

I don't expect us to come out as strong early like we did last year, but this team has some tough kids that should improve as they play more together. I would like for our fans to care about basketball. Regardless of the opponent, get behind this bunch and let them know you are pulling for them. Hope to see you next Monday as the season gets underway.
