Question based on highly unlikely hypothetical situation:

Nov 18, 2013, 10:36 AM

Situation:

1) Missouri loses to Ole Miss and/or Texas A&M (coots in SEC Championship)
2) Baylor loses to Oklahoma State
3) Alabama barely beats Auburn
4) we throttle the coots

So on Dec 7, BCS standings are 1-ALA, 2-FSU 3-Ohio St 4-Oregon 5-Clemson (Coots are like high teens)

5) Assume Oregon loses PAC-12 championship
6) Assume Ohio State loses to Michigan St in B1G Championship
7) Coots play Alabama for SEC championship

Question: Could you find it in your heart to pull for the coots to win the SEC championship and possibly put us in the BCS Championship Game?

Yes, but I'm sure they would be conflicted.***

nope. i will never pull for usuc. i can't understand why

Nov 18, 2013, 10:43 AM

people keep coming up with hypothetical reasons to try and get clemson fans to pull for that trash down in columbia.

Amen.***

Just for fun man. Relax.***

No.

Nov 18, 2013, 10:45 AM

Because it doesn't matter who I pull for, the outcome is determined on the field.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

If it's for us going to the National Championship, yes

Nov 18, 2013, 10:47 AM

But, let's take care of the tasks at hand before worrying about these scenarios

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

That's my take...+1.***

I would come on tnet and preach how much I want USuCk....

Nov 18, 2013, 10:52 AM

to win but during the game I'd find myself pulling for whoever they are playing.

Duh...if anyone actually cares about Clemson football

Nov 18, 2013, 10:53 AM

They would be DESPERATE for SC to win that game, in that scenario.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

In that Wildly Hypothetical situation....

Nov 18, 2013, 10:55 AM

I wouldn't be sad to see them win the SECCG, however, I highly doubt I would watch the game. I have enough stress from real life and watching the teams I actually care about to put more stress on myself between pulling for another team and the conflicting thoughts for each team in that game. I think every play would stress me out as deep down inside I would still want Alabama to beat them.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Easy NO. Coot logic will say that it was a down year so

Nov 18, 2013, 10:55 AM

winning the SEC is better than winning NC.

badge-donor-10yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

You would not want Clemson to have a shot at a championship

Nov 18, 2013, 10:56 AM

Because SC fans would say stupid things about it?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

only thing that worries me is if Baylor loses but remains ahead of us...

Nov 18, 2013, 10:59 AM

I'll flip a sh!t. But a win over the mighty SEC champion gamecocks should be enough for us to get the nod I would imagine, with our only loss being to #1 FSU. Also SHOULD be ahead of bama, seeing as though we would've just beaten the team they lost to... thus making us the best of the 3 options in that regard. But we all know how that goes, too.... aka Stanford at #3 with a loss to UTAH? And #9 after falling to 2 unranked opponents?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Hmmm...if we can include a Coot Poison Pill, then I am...

Nov 18, 2013, 11:17 AM

...okay with it.

The Coot Poison Pill is added to every Coot player's bowl game pre-game meal and results in double vision, muscular weakness, dizzyness, and heavy nausea with subsequent vomiting.
