Question about the ads on Tnet- specifically the Lake Keowee

lots for sale.. Does anyone know what the deal is? I keep seeing these pop up.. $9900 lots on Keowee, 3.3 acres on Keowee for $30k, 6 acres on Keowee for $40k...

I've spent many years on Keowee - enough to know what the land on that lake is worth. It seems incredibly shady and I know there's a hook, I just can't think of what it is. So - surely someone can fill me in on the fine print (because on their site there is very little).

I'm engaged to an attorney that specializes in contracts and construction - I'd like to lock them up in one of these deals, but I'm sure I wouldn't be the first.

They are liquidation sales, went to preview lots about a few months ago. The advertised cheap lots were simply property in the division. The acre plus lake lots with permit for dock were 175K+ for gently slopping on the big water near Seneca. Gorgeous lots. Must do cash deals or pretty high interest rate but for only 3 years. Not really pressure sales but they try and unload them all that day. They just keep opening new divisions throughout the year. Hope that helps.
