QB recruiting?

With the opening at backup QB now in numbers only, Chase is quite capable, do we go after McDowell again with FSU being the cluster it is. Or is there some one else out there we would go after?

Taisun Phom. Look at 2019 recruit. Possibly D.J. Ug. in 2020.

You roll the dice... the quarterback, drawing a blank, that went to USC could of had his wish at Clemson if he would have come in as a defensive back. So, you never know.

Are you thinking of Sam Howell?
If so probably not KB was going to be gone from the team anyways next year. We'll have TP and there's another kid who's walking on and should be a decent 4 string type guy. His name is escaping me at the moment.

Considering what's just happened at QB and Trevor still has at least 2 years after this, does the QB's committed or looking at Clemson for 2019 & 2020 still come?

Does anyone expect Chase Brice to stick around the next two years sitting on the bench?

if he is realistic about his NFL chances. He can stay on a team that has won a national championship in the last couple years and may win a couple in the near future. There are many backups who are not transferring. I could see a backup bailing on a team that hasn't won one in 30+ years. I understand where you are coming from.

KB’s departure shouldn’t have any effect on 2019 recruiting because he would’ve exhausted his eligibility anyway.
Taisun is a developmental prospect anyway so if he’s honest with himself he knows he’s not competing for a starting job his first 2 years. I think you could see us go after a lighter recruited kid to make sure you have 4 scholarship QB’s (although I think they like Batson).
All the chips seem to be in for DJU in 2020 who would be most likely battling 4th year Brice as a RS Fr in 2021 after Trevor leaves.
