QB next year?

With Watson coming in for next year the question is...

Will it be Stoudt's position to lose with the experience he got this season?

Or

Will it be Watson coming in and starting as a true freshman?

it would be incredibly difficult (and at the same time remarkably impressive) for a true freshman QB to come-in and win the starting job over a senior who has been in the program for five year. It is possible? Absolutely. Is it probable? I'd say no but it would speak volumes for Mr. Watson if he was able to do it.

Haven't seen Kelly throw enough, but he's a physical runner like Tajh. Will be interesting to see who gets the most minutes vs Citadel (Stoudt or Kelly)

I think Watson redshirts, just like famous Jameis did at FSU.

I see us going to a 2 QB system next year tailoring the offense to each QB's strengths. I think Watson would benefit from a redshirt year by hitting the weights and learning the offense, but I will definitely look forward to seeing him on the field in 2015. All of this could be for naught of we get hit by the injury bug(fingers crossed for no injuries).

He is starting in January, so that gives him a chance. If he is just an absolute phenom like we hope he is, it will be a tight 3 way race.

It's hard to say how players will develop. If I had to guess I'd say that Stoudt will win the starting job next year on his experience and passing skills. Kelly will back up, and Watson will certainly redshirt. In 2015, Kelly and Watson will compete for the starting job. 60-40 that Watson wins it.

Stoudt looks ready but it is a long way till then. Till you see who does what in spring and fall practice and who is healthy there is no way to tell.

With Georgia looming as the early 1st test on the road,
I would think that my incoming backup to Boyd,
my incoming senior, and the one with the most experience,
should be ready than the other guys. Though I know
Stoudt will be tested all spring and summer next year.
