If I wasn’t good enough to make it in the pros and I could make $100k~ a year as a college student you bet I would be doing that!
That’s why I believe there needs to be a trust set up for these dudes.
You earn NIL but you can only get the $ once you’ve graduated. I’m sure there’s a loophole somewhere in it but would incentivize getting a degree AND focusing on ball… probably would help with the desire to transfer just for $.

The guy will probably have 3 masters by the time he leaves college. The NCAA has a high priority on academics and degrees. Just ask them.

There is no way that these type of “student athletes “ would be eligible to attend this many bastions of higher education if they were not athletes. Selling out to the almighty dollar and devaluing the reputation of the university. I know, I’m old, out of touch , etc.

The guys who are not NFL material don't have much of a choice - they have to cash in while their market value is high. These kids are not there for education, they never were.
