We may not be that bad at line, but how awesome would it be

If a few changes can be made that make us a little better that quick. I think we miss having Etienne, Deshaun, and Trevor. Not that line didn’t do a lot but they were gifted enough to cover up or overcome some deficiencies I think.

We've been missing this intensity since BV left

He was enough for the whole team. And it was, by far, my biggest concern after he left.
With these two, on both sides of the ball, I hope the message is sent loud and clear to the whole team: You better bring it!!

My biggest concern was a QB who could make a good read and accurately deliver the ball plus a WR who could catch said ball. Intensity, especially on D, not so much.

What you're seeing and hearing comes with coaches with experience and they have learned over the years how to coach. These guys had good teachers I would assume. I knew and constantly complain about the inexperienced coaching hires that Dabo had made prior to him seeing that he dropped the ball with those hirings, and IMHO, there is a couple more that should've been replaced when hiring Luke and Rumph!!! There's not much worse than an inexperience teacher trying to teach something that they don't know much about themselves...

I've had teachers who knew their subject matter but were lousy communicators. Seems like coach Rumph knows what he's talking about AND he knows how to make his points. We need this on both sides.

You practice with an edge and fire, you play with an edge and fire. Love it.

Sounds like we should have started practice after all the exams were finished.

Absolutely - just what the doctor ordered. We have had some really good players (and still do) over the past couple of years, yet the whole has not been greater than the parts as it needs to be to win a championship. We have not beaten anyone of consequence since OSU in 2020 and have been physically whipped so many times, starting with LSU and then OSU the next year -our last playoff appearance where we were destrouyed physically. Time to turn the tables!
